the car note is literally the bane of humanity. too bad it's usually a lesson learned the hard way. unless, i'm filthy rich i don't care if i have a new car in the next 20 years.

Good christ that is accurate. After many years with no car payment I bought a new car a month ago. Even with a ridiculously low interest rate...it freeking sucks to have to watch that payment go out every month again.

That's funny, because my roommate has just gotten in to that. He's telling me how it's fool proof. ;)

Well there is that famous saying... "There is a Sucker born every minute" Just be very careful.. If he's trying to be like George Soros you better have a lot of $$$$$$$$$

I've seen traders earn 100K in 1 day and seen them lose it all in 30min. Luckily I only lost a 1/10th of that.

    Currency trading you need

    1. Discipline
    2. Experience
    3. Heavy Research in 5,10,30,45 second trading, 1,5,10,30,45 minute trading.
    4. HUGE Bank Roll
    5. Technical trading know-how + Mad Fundamental Know-how
    5. Just continue to learn and you should be ok....

I had kids and had to stop.. Couldn't risk it after that.

    Good luck to your friend.

-If you can find a leaser
    -Property tax
    -House repairs/maintenance

A 1-mile walk in my neighborhood (clear lake area) and you'll see 10+ for sale/lease signs. A grand total of 2 houses were sold in the last 12 months according to Zillow. Your friend is probably one of the few exceptions.

wait, i completely forgot about the *****ing house inspector for our house...we hired a friend...he didn't inspect it throughout and now we are stuck with this house that needed repairs every several months. our office was partially flooded a few months ago due to the AC unit drainage overflowing. thank god insurance covers this. hubby said that the house was not built correctly. :( needless to say, we don't talk to that friend anymore.

we paid 140k for this house and we already paid maybe almost 3k so far...

it is a shame because it is a nice house but with terrible structure. oh well our rookie mistake with houses. it is our first house.

i am hoping that the flood is last one we have to deal with the house.

I didn't buy stock in Cold Weather Proof Laser Technology when this military contractor friend of mine told me it was going to be all the rage in military arms purchases.

I asked him "Who the hell needs insulated laser weapons capable of discharging high impact laser projectiles in temperatures seen no where on earth but Antarctica?"

He just laughed and said he would joked about never knowing when a war would break out in Antarctica.

Marriage (by far), strip clubs, DWI, cocaine.

Strip clubs and cocaine weren't necessarily mistakes, but definately high cost entertainment expenses.

Damn, who would rent a place for $2,600/month??

My rent is only about $300/month more than the mortgage, so any time a repair comes up, it screws my whole profit margin. Hell, 1 repair can screw me for the next 3 or 4 months. And the house is 30 years old, so repairs come up all the time.
