That would be the smart move....get a better coach than Fisher....Fisher is a political animal...and needs to go. DD
I've said it before. I would be surprised to see Bud part ways with Vince. He will lose a huge part, if not most of, his Texas fanbase if he gives Vince the boot.
Beyond dumping on VY . . . . anyone care to dispute anything in here? Fisher is Kubiak's prototype. [I seriously did not realize they only won 5 playoff games in 16 years!!! ] Rocket River
Sounds like the decision has been made to release or trade Vince, and keep Fisher according to Jim Wyatt http://twitter.com/#!/jwyattsports The #Titans plan to either release or trade quarterback Vince Young, according to sources familiar with the situation
Jay cutler is a very mediocre qb he had like 25 Int or something like that last year. Didn't he have 4 to one player this year?
Let me know when the Vandy kid win the rookie of the year, make two pro-bowls, wins 60% of his games and have a season with a 98 QB rating VY is letting me down with his immaturity but his game is legit.
NOt surprising, but he'll land somewhere..hope he trains and plays a lot better/harder in his next gig...
VY is the better QB, Vandy kid is in a better situation. Why isn't he still playing in Denver huh? For the record, Jeff Fisher didn't have to make the VY leaving the locker room and all the subsequent stuff public, but he decided to go to the press with everything. Very low move for a NFL head coach.
Uh... yeah, namely, being employed. Because Josh McDaniels (who turned out to be a massive failure) and he couldn't work together. Now McDaniels is unemployed, Denver is in the basement of the AFC West, and Vandy Kid + Chicago are chilling on their bye week in the playoffs.
After Fisher is finally put out of his misery next season (after maybe climbing up to the top 10 on the alltime losses list, he's getting up there) DEJA VU COMING
I'm not going to argue Vince vs. Cutler, but Cutler is not the reason for the Bears being in the playoffs this year. The Chicago offense is pretty terrible - worse than the Tennessee offense (which imploded in the post-Vince period this year). They are ranked around #20 in scoring and 30th in yards per game. Cutler has been average at QB, with his rating is #16 in the league (amusingly, 1 below Kyle Orton) - which is exactly what the Bears need. Their #4 ranked defense is the reason they are in the playoffs.
