Can only hope McNair gave Kubiak the same ultimatum that Jax gave Del Rio... Playoffs next season or find a new job.

The interview McNair gave Sunday night though to Bob Allen overlooked a lot of coaching issues on the offensive side of the ball and blamed everything on the defense, which bothered me. The defense is a problem, but there were definite issues on the offensive side which McNair was clearly overlooking and Bob Allen for some reason didn't call him on.

I think McNair just genuinely really likes Gary Kubiak, and overlooks his deficiencies as a coach because he likes him as a person.

I see why McNair doesn't want to fire Rick Smith, Rick Smith is the Godfather to McNair's grandchild. You can't fire the Godfather of your grandkid.

Just more proof that McNair lets his coaches get to close to his family which effect's his business decisions.

    Wow, is this true?

If so, Bob, you are a damned fool.

How did you make all that money making decisions like that?

    Don't s*** where you eat!

I thought Cal McNair (Bob's son) was Rick Smith's child's Godfather, not the other way around.

I'd like to see him gone as much as the next person, but honestly, how many games has HE actually lost for us? Other than the half back pass last season, I can't think of any. This season it was ALL on the players. His bad coaching decisions did not factor into any of losses IMO.

Really? You don't think getting the team to play an entire game is part of his job? You don't think not running the ball in the Denver or Indy games hurt the team? Or calling a play that had no chance of success hurt the team vs. Jacksonville?

    Last year, about 5-6.

    This year, about 3-4.

And then there's that whole "he hired the guy in charge of the defense so he's basically responsible for almost every single loss this season" thing.

That depends. Who's job is it to game plan for the next game? It was pretty clear that there were many games this season where the Texans had no idea what to expect in the first half. Yes, he was fantastic at half-time adjustments. But would that have been necessary if they were properly prepared from the opening kick? His horrendous game planning cost the Texans many losses this season as they ended up having to play from behind too often.

The entire staff should of been fired and Bob should croke and leave the team to someone who is not more interested in winning the Kentucky Derby than the Superbowl
