if you consider losing to the two best teams in the league coming back down to earth -----> I mean we understand you don't like them, but let's not go overboard
OKC Thunder on the 2nd night of a back to back. It's time for the Knicks to get their groove back or fail miserably again.
knicks gonna be 17-12. man, the knicks fans are starving for any good player. they're treating amare like he's god.
Knicks last three wins have been over Denver, Oklahoma City, and Chicago, so we can now dismiss the argument that they can only beat bad teams.
Seems like the haters have died down, even BetterThanEver, though he is probably getting tired of being owned repeatedly in this thread.
While it's not much consolation to the way the Rockets' and Knicks' respective seasons have been playing out thus far, at least it's somewhat encouraging to Rockets fans: http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/23575/john-hollinger-predicts-knick-mediocrity
I dont see anything from holinger or that blog post of his, that would be encouraging to Rocket's fans, as he continues to project the Knicks finishing over 500 and securing the 6th or 7th playoff seed. The Knicks making the playoff essentially means the swap of picks with the Rockets is pretty much useless, even if they finish with a better record than the knicks; as the difference between picking 20 or 21 or 18 or 20th is negligible.
Hey, even if it means only moving up 2-3 draft slots, there's definitely a benefit in that. Go ask Daryl Morey what he can do by trading down from #25 to #28.
True, though that assumes the rockets make the playoffs AND end up with a higher draft pick than the Knicks. And while it is obviously a benefit, the cost of moving a couple spots up later in the draft isnt really going to cost Morey/Rockets much anyways... In case anyone knows, if the Rockets finished 43-39 and make the playoffs as the 8th seed, and the knicks finished 42-40 and make the playoffs as the 6th seed in the east... who gets the lower draft position? In other words, is the draft position dictated by records or does playoff seeding have any effect?
Knicks playing strong against The Spurs. I aways thought Amar'e was a lazy bum who would never be a leader. He's proving me wrong.
IIRC, the top 3 picks are drawn from the machine and the remaining picks are set according to record, not playoff seeding.
I haven't but I've been watching both play this season and Amar'e is the better player on offense AND defense. Amar'e really turned it up and is leading his team.
