the league would find a way to fine him for that. if he is traded he can work out a deal with the new team that allows him to stay in houston to rehab. so he would be traded but never have to leave his home for the rest of the season. the rockets can also negotiate that yao be released by the team that traded for him and resign with the rockets for the rest of the season... allowing him to be on the bench/at practice and earning him some extra cash.
CD reveals Yao to take surgery. The Rockets' former GM Carroll Dawson revealed some info on Yao during an interview with sohu.com that Yao will give one last shot (surgery) for the comeback. When he was asked about the trade rumours around Yao, he said don't believe those stories, they are always there. http://sports.sohu.com/20110102/n278640388.shtml
CD of all people? shouldnt it be some Dr to give this comment? Tom Clanton maybe? but then i think we all need to put Yaos comeback as a very remote possibility. i hope Yao ends up like Grant Hill and starts to get his recovery going after many years of physio, if anyone can do it, my moneys on Yao. and hopefully when that happens, i do hope he will still be a Rocket player
Far better would be Yao's Expring, Jeffries Expiring, Brooks, Cbud + 1st pick + whatever it takes (perhaps Hill would have to be added), to Get CP3 and Okafor... For Hornets, they have a HUGE salary relief (not only this season, but also in next seasons) check it by yourself http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_orleans.htm For Rockets, despite being overpaid, getting Okafor makes sense, could he'd be a great fit, a 4 inches taller Chuck Hayes who can block shots.... What do you think of attempting such trade at any cost?
I'm starting to get this feeling that no significant trades for the Rox are coming this year and this is the team we will have for the rest of the year
more stress displacement for a man that is 7'6" and over 300 lbs. do not hitch your wagon to this horse any longer...please.
I would definitely make this trade...I fear that N.O. would say no thanks, but I'd definitely make this.
As I said WHATEVER IT TAKES.....Houston brag about the assets they have....assets are meant to be used....so, in this case, use as many assets as possible to get the superstar and an overpaid player that fits.... As part of the deal, as NO has 15 player, Rockets would have to take all the players NO discards, for instance...3 mill also included in the package, all the possible draft picks, Hill+PPat,....WHATEVER IT TAKES.....to see if NO would say yes in any moment.....
Sorry if I forgot, Yao wouldn't only give them a HUGE salary relief (expiring and insurance), but also a chance for NO owners to get new business in China.... So all these kind of arguments should be used to try to convince them....
Missing Dirk Nowitzki for the third consecutive game because of a sprained right knee and Shawn Marionwith a thigh injury, the Mavericks suffered another blow when Caron Butler(notes) injured his right knee with 2:47 left in the first quarter. The trio averages just over 50 points. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap;_...?gid=2011010115 Hopefully with these injuries adding up to loses against teams Dallas should beat (Toronto and now Milwaukee) maybe Cuban maybe more inclined to move Brendan Haywood to the Rockets.
