Using the argument of who is the best player in the NBA...nope. But using the argument of who is the most important player to their team...He is. He has his team 3 games outta first and they would be barely a playoff team without him.
rose has been slipping as of late in terms of production. his stats are awesome though considering his team success. right now, it's 1) dirk 2) stoudamire 3) rose lebron is coming though
Stoudamire not going to win though, not finishing 6th or 7th in the east. Dirk is the case of a MVP candidate on a stacked team. Voters are going to say "Well but how important is he to his team?" The Mavs can maintain their position with Dirk hurt. If the Bulls were to lose Rose for like 4 weeks they would IMO freefall.
dallas is 0-2 without dirk so far, with a loss to toronto at home. you can't undermine dirk's offense this year. he is RIDICULOUSLY efficient. i would not get mad if he wins it this year. bulls without jordan went to the ECF - he shouldn't deserve his MVPs then?
mvp season so far is a curse players who won mvp recent years haven't win a championship also, it's way too early for him. he'll get it sooner or later
lebron averages 3 more assists and is starting to get his rebounding numbers up while getting the same # of points. plus, lebron has been the dominating player in national TV games for the heat also, you saw the game v. us. the best perimeter defender is on lebron james, not wade. wade should be at a bigger advantage for offensive stats. but they average the same number of points. - that's HUGE. that shows lebron is the more intimidating offensive player.

nobody on the heat is winning MVP because its most VALUABLE player, not best. so lebron wont win it because they have wade who helps him and wade wont win because he has lebron who helps him. as alot of people here have said the bulls would be at the bottom of the east if it werent for rose. thats why kobe only has 1 mvp because he has fisher, gasol, odom,and bynum. lebron won last 2 because he had a ridiculouse supporting cast. he had to be consistent every night.
