    Great post.

You forgot LA. He's been beasting and bringing it every night without Roy. This is what the Blazers expected when they extended him a couple of years ago.

The Trailblazers have always been a resilient team, often in spite of injuries to major players; trading away a good players for whatever reason; coaching changes; or players with off-the-court trouble.

Though all the youth movements and bouts of mediocre talent, the Blazers in 41 years of existence have reached the playoffs . . . 28 times. Roughly, 68% of their seasons have ended with them in the playoffs. From 76 to 03, the Blazers only missed the playoffs, once.

At this point, they might be handicapped . . . because of Roy's contract.

    Different management and coaches.

Under McMillan, they have not fared so well. They missed the playoffs 3 times in the past 5 years, including stinkers like 61 losses in '05-'06 and 50 losses in '06-'07.

I wonder who they played in those 7 games they won without Roy. And whether they were on the road or at home. I say they were a 6-8 seed, even WITH Roy. I don't seem them making it without him. Their depth takes too big a hit. Even a short-term injury to someone else could cost them a spot in the playoffs.

I guess that they had an idea about Roy's health when they signed Matthews to that huge contract.

Don't count out Wes Matthews, dude is a baller and can make up for Roy's abscence.

That contract is looking better and better already.

I could only get to see the game after it was garbage time.

How do you guys feel after watching Portland beat us comfortably? We better win the next meeting on Wednesday unless we want to fall apart in January.

They looked like the frontrunners for the race to the 7th and 8th seeds. If Camby and Aldridge stay healthy, they have an advantage over us.

    Thanks for commenting.
Looking at the box score, our starting frontcourt couldn’t get to double digits in rebounds even together while LA and Camby won the battle 24 to 8. I’ve been worrying about Scola, he hasn’t gotten to double digits in rebounds for nine straight games. He started the season rebounding out of his mind; he must put it into himself to carry us there.
