you realize people go into business to make profits. don't you? you realize pricing is targeted toward a specific consumer right? just like the Rockets games, people who sit on the front row and people who sit in the nose bleeds are different types of consumers.
Why are you trying to reason or argue with an established troll? Just have fun trolling him, otherwise he is just gonna piss you off, which is what he wants.
Dream was FREQUENTLY voted as best dressed player during his NBA career. Almost annually. He, as player, and Riley (Pat, not Eric lol!!) as a coach. I think Dream is targeting the affluent in society, and probably those in the NBA circle that knew and know how dapper the Dream is. Seriously...Dream can dress...
There are enough numbers in that statement that it must be true - oh wait.... Okay Rainman, I'll tell you what - I have no interest in Hakeem's jeans, but if you can make a quality Japanese denim pair of jeans made in the USA at working wages for $50 or less, I'll buy them from you for $250. Just don't forget to work the following into that $50 price to get it in my hands: ...seamstress at $8/hour(good ones probably charge more than this) plus figuring in some cost for health care for your workers, a building to house your workers, insurance on your company/building, machinery AND upkeep costs, buy the materials and pay the buyer who does the ordering(denim, buttons, rivets, thread, and cloth for pockets - and don't forget they may all come from different places so figure shipping costs into each of those), shipping to the warehouse that stores these for online sales, marketing including website design for online store, a sales department to get these placed in select retailers(this person will make more than $8/hour), credit card company fees for taking CCs online, shipping(you can pass this on to the consumer), and don't forget your paying tax on your profits as well as someone to keep your financial books on a daily basis and an accountant to do your taxes each year.
Go back and read the post I was responding to, noobslice. I was correcting someone who seemed to be under the misguided impression that manufacturing costs are the main driver (or even a major driver) of the retail price of clothes. The idea that some people here are advancing, that "quality" made in USA clothes just simply can't be sold at less than $175 for a pair of jeans, is patently ludicrous. Now as for my "critic" in this thread, he's just another idiot trying to make a name for himself. One short post containing a simple fact spawns a spastic four post outburst from him. The stratagem is clear: nobody even knows who he is so he thinks he can get recognition by calling out famous posters.
Being famous for being the village idiot who refuses to honor his bets isn't a positive thing. Now I say once again; honor your bet and GTFO.
That may be, but I guarantee he doesn't wear this stuff. Take a look at this pic from his site. http://www.dr34m.com/about-us/ Not even wearing the largest size and clever camera angles can conceal the fact that his sleeves are about 6 inches too short for his arms. C'mon, Hakeem! Don't tease us! Make clothes for tall people, dammit!
Sleeves are probably pushed up. That said, it is a horrible photograph and not flattering for that shirt. And, yea, I wish he would make shirts, etc for tall people. I'd snatch up a few of them for sure.
Some friends of mine had dinner with Hakeem on Wednesday. Hakeem said he pretty much doubled the money he earned during his playing career via his real estate ventures. More power to him, hope he does will in this line of business.
It was a bet regarding Martin not being able to finish last season above a certain percentage, he would leave CF forever. This r****d continues stay like herpes.
Didn't Kevin McHale have some sort of clothing line, too? I remember hearing people talk about it back in the 80s. Spoiler
