If you signed up for league pass...you should receive a tv schedule for the games from either the cable company or the dish company (if its directv).

The 51/39 thing wont affect you at all. It's for local viewers only(Htown)

Get League Pass, that way not only do you get the Rox games, you could watch any other league games as well.
    Otherwise...ESPN games for you..

ok since we're in a league pass thread i'll ask a question about it. do you get every single rockets game or will you miss an occasional one. i know league pass says up to 40 games a week which sounds like they might miss a few each week (29 teams *3 games a week/2 teams in a game=43 or 44 games) and if the few they miss include a rockets game are you just out of luck? or is there someway to make sure you get every rockets game. or am i just crazy and they show every game in the league and you get the rockets games no matter what.

Of the 82 Rockets games, you will get get about +/- 71 on the League Pass channels (721 - 731 in Austin). The balance of the games can be picked up via Fox Sports, ESPN or ABC. It is a very rare occassion that you will miss a game. I can't recall one in 3 seasons with LP.

Ditto from here. If it's not on League Pass it's because it's on one of your local stations.

On a side note, my LP early paying cost in Austin was $159.00. Isn't this up from last year? And they wouldn't let me pay it all at once again... so my wife gets to see that extra on the bill for a few months. It bugs her. TimeWarner can be so ****ing stupid.

Yes, I've never missed a game since I got league pass last year. The combination of local, national, or league pass will get them all.

In fact I love it so much I'm going to pay for league pass twice this year. I'm paying for it once in the apt I live in now, and when I move in Febuary, the service won't transfer, so I'll have to pay for it again. I don't have a lot of extra cash either, but the service has become a necessity for me.

Deckard - My service is provided by Directv and has remained at $149 for three seasons. I do think that cable is a little more.

FranchiseBlade - the commercials for Directv make it look like everything transfers from one address to another. Perhaps you should persue this further.

For my Austin Directv bretheren - check your billing for the current month. My subscription did not automatically renew and I had to call customer service.

gram! - guess that about answers everything, eh? :)

Gater, I get the league pass through digital cable and not through Direct TV. Also part of the problem is that since I'm moving from the east coast to the west coast, it will be a totally different cable company. Maybe I should have gone the Direct TV route to begin with.

Oh well, I'll try again before I move to see if it's possible to transfer the League Pass payment from one cable account to the other.

I have not verified this, but someone has posted in another thread (I think it's the one about the next preseason game against the Spurs) that League Pass will start showing preseason games on October 15th.

One word of caution. My experiences are that the preseason schedule is very light. Don't count on seeing nearly as many preseason games.

For those with Directv, often the preseason games are broadcast on League Pass as a "Free Preview". Keep this in mind if you are thinking about League Pass or just want to watch.

    FranchiseBlade -
I guess your only hope is that you can get the service pro-rated on either coast (hopefully both). Good luck!

Damn, since every LP question imaginable is popping up in here, would y'all mind if I threw one in real quick? Okay, thanks.

Here's my deal: I have Time Warner, and I had the full-package digital cable until I realized that I didn't want to pay that much for some cable I don't watch. Now I pay them 8 bucks a month to get the basic local Austin networks you can get with an antenna, and like 4 cable channels. Do you think I can get League Pass without upgrading my package again? I mean, I do pay them the big bucks for Roadrunner and all, so they should be happy with that much.

Okay, to answer my own question, you do have to have the digital box to get League Pass with Time Warner. BUT, you don't have to have or pay for all the channels. You just have to buy the box for $5.75/month, and its navigation feature for $4 a month. So if you don't have digital cable, don't worry, you can still get LP for cheap. The service for the local channels and BET, WGN and a few other cable channels, including the digital box, would cost just $17.75/Month. Then the LP would be divided amongst 4 payments at something like $39.99 a month. Not bad, huh?
