Former Rockets star Hakeem Olajuwon had a magnificent NBA career leading the Rockets to back-to-back world championships in the 90s with his career culminating with selection to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame two years ago.

Since leaving the game Hakeem has also been very successful as a businessman especially in the area of commercial real estate.

One of Olajuwon's lifelong passions has been designing clothes and this week he is launching his first selections through his new website: www.dr34m.com.

    i like the logo..
hopefully he finds some success.. its hard though, outside of Jordan not many athletes have their own brand and succeed.

It's kind of tacky but a few of the tee's are worth wearing. I'm surprised he decided to go high end (relatively) from the days of $20 LA Gear's.

Probably going for that whole 'if its expensive it must be good' consumer mentality sales approach.

"Der-thir-four-em" will probably never be a marquee line, but mass distribution and product diversification means Olajuwon will probably make some reasonable coin.

yall need to think about WHY the prices are that high.. if dream were to ever put out a clothing line himself, the products offered would be made:

    of the finest materials
    in the USA
    by well-paid, respected labor
    with the utmost care

that makes for a hell of a price tag, but dream don't halfass nothing, so i don't see why you're surprised. this ain't starter or la gear or wal mart generic clothing brands made in sweatshops.

and for an upstart independent clothing line? honestly, this stuff is moderately priced considering the aformentioned. come on.. dream don't jip no one. dream is dream

I find it offensive that you're calling religious wear ''pimp"

For religious wear it does look very elegant and comfortable.

Somebody needs to tell dream that you can't launch a clothing line with premium overpriced items until your stuff is cool to wear. I just don't understand how a clothing line with an aging sports icon as the face of the company is going to get a clothing line off the ground with a mixture of high-ended jeans and athletic shorts. What the heck is this guy thinking?

These clothes look like something you could get at target for 10.00. LOL. I'm sorry dream you are my favorite player but I will never wear a pair 175.00 jeans that say dr34m on them.
