Who has the most potential between the two. Blake Griffin is averaging 21 points and 12 rebounds in his rookie season and becoming a human highlight. Kevin Love is averaging 20 points and 15 rebounds in his 3rd nba season and has a more defined offensive arsenal. Both are on terrible teams.
I think its pretty close. Not to mention i'd rather have my forward grab 31 rebounds and put up 31 points at the same time instead of risking injury for a 21 second highlight.
Griffin is pretty consistent too...I usually look at the Clippers boxscore everytime they play just to see what Griffin and Gordon did. Usually Griffin is getting his usual 20 and 12
The question was who has the most potential between the two. If both players maximized their potentials, Blake would be the better player. This is no knock on Kevin Love. He's playing phenomenal this season.
Love doesn't rely on athleticism so I'd go Love. Griffin being injury prone, not good. But if healthy its a no-brainer, Griffin has all the tools. You take that athleticism away though and he is about as good as his brother was.
Love doesn't rely on athleticism because he doesn't have much. And it isn't as though Griffin is a player that gets by on athleticism alone. He's remarkably polished for a player so young with so much athleticism.
This is correct. Repped. I love Blake Griffin as much as the next guy and there's nobody I'd rather watch play. With that said.... Kevin Love is going to be super good for a long time to come in this league. His natural feel for the game, tools and skill-set will make him last forever especially since he doesn't rely on athleticism as mentioned. Griffin has an outstanding skill set and all the tools as well but a lot of his game is based upon sheer athleticism and hustle so everything is good now and will be for the near future. You can't lose with either one but I don't think Love's game will depreciate as much as Griffin's say 10-12 years down the road because his game allows him to preserve his body more. Kevin Love reminds me of Steve Nash in a big mans body. Not in terms that he's an assist machine even though he's a good passer but I mean in the sense that he understands how the game is played and how to make things easy and not rely on superior athletic ability to get by.
Both are Great players and very consistent, it's really hard to choose who is going to be better, both are rebounding machines, am have to say Griffin, because he is more athletic, but definitely both are going to be an All-stars.
I love Kevin Love. Love him. The answer is Blake Griffin and it's not close. Griffin is an absolute superstar that will be the #1 option for as long as he plays. Kevin Love will never be a #1 option, but a really good support player.
Griffin by far. Love potentially has the better long term career but at their respective peaks Griffin will own the game.
I'm clearly in the minority here, but Im going to go with Kevin love SOLELY for fear of injury to blake griffin. If neither gets injured and continues to develop (ha), then blake griffin is obviously the superior player.
