Nope. Durant is one heck of a scorer, and is a guy who could only get better. The best part about his game is he does not rely on much athletism whatsoever. Griffin could lose everything with one simple injury. His game relies so much on athletism that any slight injury could severely slow his game down. That being said, Griffin is still one heck of a player, and there is no doubt in my mind that he would be ROTY if he had played last year. However, I agree with Barkley's point of view, Griffin had one whole year to train, learn and adapt to NBA environment. Even if he doesn't play one single NBA game, he has a huge advantage over other rookies. Therefore, Griffin shouldn't be allowed the ROTY this year.
Heck yes he should. The All star game is about "the show" and he adds serious value to "the show" Yes, he is definitly an all star, and I will say it again, I would trade ANY 3 players on the Rockets for him today....ANY. DD
Of course Blake Griffin will be an All-Star this season. No doubt about it. He'll skip the rookie All-Star game activities. The real question is will he be on Team USA in 2012 (if healthy and he wants to be). It's crowded but I think the answer is yes.
