[Video] A Tribute to Yao Ming | The End of an Era <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/z7WVB33HOtU?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/z7WVB33HOtU?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> Regardless of Yao's current condition regarding his foot, it's becoming increasingly prominent that there is a possibility for him to never play another game in a Houston Rockets uniform, or an NBA uniform for that matter. This is a tribute to Yao, I wanted to do a full career documentary, but nobody uploaded any clips of Yao even getting drafted to begin with (which is surprising...). Here is the link to the intro background in the video that can also double as a wallpaper: http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/363/1/4/yao_ming_wallpaper_by_ssp0929-d35zpas.png
Man watching anything related to Yao makes me sick to my stomach. How can a man of his work ethic have something such as playing the game that he loves be taken away from him when scrubs like Kwame Brown with zero work ethic continue to collect a paycheck. Sports Gods have a funny way of controlling these type of scenarios. All these people mentioned in trade scenarios for Yao could never hold his jockstrap when Yao was healthy. I hope he comes back strong, big fella we need you back!
It's too bad the game of basketball is not kind to some men. All that potential destroyed because his lower body cannot handle basketball activity. I truly feel sorry for Yao, he has done nothing wrong; work ethic is insane, he's humble, he doesn't cause trouble, great all-around guy... but his foot... Oh what could have been.
If he does indeed choose to play sometime in 2011... he'll be 31 years of age.. still capable of dominating any back-up center...... at the right financial "haircut." GL Yao.... we love you in Htown.. proud to have the Great Wall of Shanghai here..
That is to say if his foot is able to hold up for the length of an NBA season. I truly believed halving his minutes and limiting his time overall on the court would prevent another injury... Now that that is proved ineffective, how do we handle Yao now?
Great video. So sad. As far as any criticism I don't really understand why the Yao summer workout videos end it all... thats just me being a weeze though. fantastic work.
I'm not sure I can watch this. I'll get too emotional. Please, spare me the "there are worse things in the world" BS. I, for one, am WELL aware of the pains of life and such...but Yao and Houston sports hold a special place in my heart. I'm sure it's a nice video, though.

Nice video, bit you should have put the ending in front of the McGee footage, or just left the McGee footage out
The Rockets can find another player to replace McGrady (prime T-Mac). Finding another player similar to Yao is impossible. Is there another Dream out there? If so, Morey better find him.
