Hate to see the team lose but they did not give up and scored well on the Heat just need to get C that can play tough D and rebound. Can't to see what Morey can come up with to help the team. January will be a tough month which will make or break the team's hopes for a playoff spot.

Miami is just a better team with better players. People are blaming the refs, but Hayes shot more free throws than James. The drive and kick game doesn't work against a team like miami. Thats why people always talk about the rockets have enough offense starting and thats not true. When you play elite or very good defenses, they will close out on martin and battier. Thats pretty much what they did tonight. The lowry drive and kick to open shooters didn't work tonight and won't work against playoff level defense. Overrall, they played well, but there are no moral victories in this league.

Hillboy, thats why I keep saying if the rockets could get a rim protector like Thabeet, they should do it. I don't care if Adelman likes him or not or he doesn't run the high post offense. Thabeet at the rim is a huge asset on a team with average defenders all over the court.

A guy like Camby or Varajao would have helped out immensely tonight.

Hope we get a big man sooner rather than later. :(

Man I hope he keeps it up. Maybe a new poster dunk against Boston will make his confidence sky rocket (no pun intended)

Fun game to watch. Interesting that the Rocks had 29 assists, 6 turnovers, and won the rebounding battle. You probably win the game 99 times out of 100 when you do that. When you don't play any defense though, you lose. 58% shooting by the Heat? Give me a break.

How can you say that with a straight face when we just put up 119 point today?

You honestly think that OFFENSE is why we lost the game? Really?

I mean I know you having been talking up this "Lowry/Martin can't score against good defenses lets see how they do against Miami" for weeks now. Sorry that didn't pan out for you. But come on, keeping it up just makes you look delusional.

The Rockets won the turnover battle, though. They also outrebounded the Heat. Fact is, Wade took a lot of shots and made most of them. That's why Houston lost. Blame it on poor defense, lack of size, the talent gap... Take your pick, it's what happened. Defending quick shooting guards is the team's weakness. I couldn't immediately identify Miami's weakness.

Sort of,but Lebron made some great shots over him with ease. He couldn't stop him from getting to the line and finishing once in the 4th quarter either.

Despite us needing the scoring Brooks provided, I can't help but think maybe putting Lee in there to guard Wade more would have stopped him from going off like that.

Totally winnable game. Refs are part of it for a call. Thats just a fact. Dont get hurt if its an observation. its your team that got the call against it. Ne reason not to bring it up. Thats not the only reason we lost though. They need interior defense and rebounding. They needed a Superstar down the stretch to get even more free throws when the benifit of the doubt and game was on the line late. They needed someone who can step up and be a star. Those are all obsevations.

You sound like one of the Dallas crybabies up here who still offer up that same tired whine as an excuse for why they lost in the NBA Finals. Wade is a great player who can attack the basket. You either have to force the ball out of his hands or stop his penetration. Rockets have nobody on the roster who can do this. The Mavs finally did that this year and swept the Heat. In 2006, the Mavs decided to shoot jumpshots and not drive to the basket while D Wade relentlessly attacked the basket. Guess what? They didn't get the foul calls. Their excuse? The refs were giving Wade phantom calls. Wah-Wah-Wah.

We got a lot of points, but we couldn't make critical shots. When Miami turned up their defense,we had trouble scoring. We were lacking on the defensive end without a doubt.

They hit alot of lulls tonight when the game was in balance. They shot 43% from the field as well. Offense isn't about the end result all the time, its the ebb and flow of it. It was never a good feeling the rockets were in a flow. Chuck got bailed out by some foul calls, martin was a no show for all but a 5 minute stretch as was shane whom they closed out on quickly. I'm not saying the offense was the sole reason, but they couldn't get key buckets in parts of the game.

They did win but there was one bad reversal and three point play thrown in there for the Heat at the time momentum changed. The Heat yes won and Rockets had problems with interior defense. I dont see whats so hard to observe obvious things? You wont get a cookie from NBA referees for overlooking one or two plays. Just make the correct observation and call it like it doesnt concern you as a fan. Why bo so uptight to acknowledge they got the game changing momentum call? Then say Rockets had their weaknesses exposed? Both absolutely true. Stop being spineless and call what you saw in the game.
