I'm watching th Governor's Debate right now. If I hear Rick Perry say "experience, vision and leadership" one more time I think I'll barf. In case it doesn't show I don't like Rick Perry. I'm not the world's biggest Sanchez fan either. Sanchez seems to favor raising taxes in a time when we are in recession. These guys both suck. Who are you leaning towards in this race right now?
Do we get an option 3 please???? Lets face it: They both suck. Perry came off real cocky, and Sanchez came off like a rookie. I hate politics, especially the mudslinging..... bah
Most people on this BBS know that I lean to the Republican side. But Rick Perry just makes me sick. He killed passed legislation which would have forced insurance companies to (gasp) actually pay doctors. And he answers EVERY question by saying that "the people of Texas want somebody with experience, vision and leadership." Moderator: Gov. Perry...what did you have for breakfast this morning? Perry: The people of Texas want somebody with experience, vision and leadership. On the other hand I think Sanchez is hell bent on raising taxes at a time when the people can least afford it. Also he talked a lot about fixing health care during the primary season and tonight he said nothing about fixing health care or making sure that doctors got paid for their services. Does he not care about it anymore or does he just assume that people take it as a given that he intends to change things? Advantage: Neither
I am a card carrying Republican so I'm voting for Perry. But then I heard that Sanchez was 5'3" so I am DEFINITELY voting for Perry. He's a Democrat and he's short???? Ewwwww!!!!! Yucky! Chants
I chose that I hate them both and not voting at all. But I will vote. I didn't get to see the debate tonight, was it really that bad? Unless I see some compelling evidence I may not vote for governor on the ballot or do some crazy write in... "None of the Above"
I missed it. Why did Sanchez say he was hell bent on raising taxes? I'm voting for Sanchez even though he's pretty conservative for a democrat. I dislike Perry and I just see it as picking the lesser of 2 evils, man is this cliche overused.
Sanchez didn't come right out and say it but he alluded that the budget could not be balanced without an increase in tax revenue. I just filled in the blanks.
I don't know if two canidates have ever made me so completely digusted with politics. I expect some of the crap they are flinging back and forth in a local school board election, but this is just sad.
I was b****in about this in another thread..I have never been so sickened about the sheer amount of mudslinging that these two have been doin..I want to hear about what they plan to do dammit! I want to know where they stand on the important issues...I dont vote for ppl just because of a party..I could care less...I want to know why they deserve my vote.. I'm writing in for Ann Richards..at least you knew where you stood with her!!
I wonder how many Democratic leans who voted for Bush will vote for Sanchez. I hear a lot of people don't like Perry including Aggies.
That is because Perry's plan to improve higher education included reducing funding and increasing tuition at Texas and his alma mater Texas A&M.
