    Talent-wise, TMac has something Martin doesn't: court vision. TMac can make plays for others. Martin can only make play for himself. That's why TMac was supposed to be a franchise player, and Martin is not, even though Martin is at least as good a scorer as TMac was.

    That said, I do think that Martin has been making good effort on both ends. That's more than what TMac did.

    Kevin Martin has to be untouchable at this point.

    For you guys to say that K-Mart is essentialy T-Mac because they score around the same amount is dumb. T-Mac was one of the best players in the NBA his first 3 years with the Rockets. His impact on the game, his court vision, his playmaking abilities for the team down the stretch do not even compare to T-Mac. Sure K-Mart puts in 23 a game, but there is much more to the game of basketball than just scoring. That is like saying Gordon from the clippers is just as good as Lebron James because they score the same amount of points.

    Nobody is saying that Martin is TMac, but in the final analysis Martin is giving us what TMac did. We are not talking about what TMac COULD do or was capable of, but what he actually did. During his last two seasons he shooting % was around 40% or below. He became a "volume" shooter to get "his points." Martin is more efficient. Yes, TMac was a better passer, but Martin is decent. Yes, TMac could have been much better than Martin, but he wasn't.

    And... T-Mac played in the Eastern Conference with all the media watching. Martin played in Sac at a time when nobody was watching them any longer.

    Kevin Martin has a sore knee and skipped practice today. i had a similar fall like his on concrete and i wasn't able to walk properly for two weeks. that was when i was 19 years old. it was very stiff the next day hopefully his access to more advanced medicine can get him ready much sooner.

    This is why I defend tmac. He gets a bad rap but seriously......Martin has nothing on McGrady. McGrady is better on defense, creating off the dribble and playmaking. Kevin Martin is a good player who scores the ball. Nothing more and nothing less. Watch the 2005 playoffs against the Mavs. We had the best player in the league during that stretch.

    Wow, is that how much you know about Doug Christie? Jeez... that's borderline ignorant.

    Doug Christie played every game at 110% with everything thing he had. Ask anyone who watched him actually play for the Kings.

    Has anyone seen a report on how many stitches it took? That gash looked at least 3 inches long! Hopefully there was no other sprain to the knee or something.

    Tmac in his prime was on another level compared to Martin in his prime (which i'm guessing is now)

    I know we love to hate on Tmac now but lets get real.

    * 2× NBA Scoring Champion: 2003 (32.1), 2004 (28.0)
    * 7× NBA All-Star: 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007
    * 7× All-NBA:

    * First Team: 2002, 2003
    * Second Team: 2001, 2004, 2007
    * Third Team: 2005, 2008

    * NBA Most Improved Player Award: 2001

    All that..Martin has NONE of those, not even a third team appearance or an all-star appearance.

    Tmac was truly a franchise player. Martin is a complimentary player. It's too bad we didn't have Martin with Tmac and Yao the one or two years they actually were able to play together.

    You try and fix your meaning of the post and blow it on the last sentence. Watch the 05 playoffs or the jazz series. Kevin Martin isn't even close. The guy can shoot and has a quick first step. McGrady had that plus defense, and court vision and showed up when it mattered. If Kevin Martin was in his prime playing against the Mavs in 05. The rockets would not have won a game. The rockets starting lineup was Tracy,Yao, Bowen, Sura, and Wesley. Six man was John freaking Barry.........or Mike James. Stop comparing them.

    I don't like T-mac as much as the next person, but we seriously cannot be comparing K-mart's scoring ability to T-mac when he was here.

    I know K-mart can create his own shot off the dribble quite well, but he doesn't even come close to what T-mac could have done off the dribble when it came to anything including scoring, passing, or whatever you really can think of. Sure his efficiency is better (shooter), but to say he is a better scorer is honestly absurd. Lets not get ahead of ourselves. T-mac was the true superstar, K-mart is a star who is a specialist on probably the most important stat in basketball (debatable).
