He gets everybody freaked out and then we all rejoice when he stays. I don't think starting is more important than being in the game late in the fourth when the buzzer sounds. I recall him playing a big role late in the fourth last year and he didn't start. Shandon was in the game a lot at the same time too. I don't think Cat was freaked out by Barkley's injury. That was not a career ending injury, he was old and retiring anyway. If he was young, he could have come back easy. This isn't football where one hit can end your career. If he signs with us he is still a multi-millionaire. It's not like we are offering him chump change with no chance at REALLY big money down the line. I think he's trying to fool us a little. I hope. Who has ever gone to Toronto as a free agent? Most of the people I see on the team were acquired through the draft or trades (usually because somebody else on the Raptors demanded a trade). I don't see Rashard even contemplating going to Canada either. Just my opinion though. I hope that I'm right.
From what I've seen, no one actually has a quote from Mobley saying he's leaning toward Toronto; they just claim that insiders say he's leaning that way. I haven't changed my prediction on Mobley: he will be a Rocket next season. Of course, I said that McGrady would stay in Toronto and I was wrong about that, but then I also said that Duncan would stay and there I was right. I am a little perturbed by recent reports, but isn't the way its been reported fit the mold of a baseless Vescey rumor? I know Clutch heard a similar thing, and I do trust his reporting. I'm with you Juan, I don't think it makes sense for Mobley to sign with Toronto, and I've posted many reasons why on other threads in this BBS. I also anticipate that Mobley will resign with the Rockets. They don't call me Swami for nothing you know! ------------------
