Driving home tonight, my wife and I counted twenty four cars with fog lamps on. I know that you wanna be cool and you, for some reason, think fog lamps will escalate your coolness level... however.... Please be courteous to other drivers and do not turn on your fog lamps (unless, of course, your driving visibility is actually impaired by dense fog). Kindly resist the urge to be a headlight douche and do not turn on your fog lamps. Thank you.
Ive noticed that my fog lights dont really help in foggy conditions... ...therefore, I turn em on whenever the **** I want.
I'm not sure in States, but seriously I'm very annoyed by those HID headlights. I dont see any coolness or sense to dazzle the driver in your opposite lane or in front of you.
Fog lamps are aimed downward aren't they? I'm much more blinded by tall trucks and suvs that have badly aimed lights. If they're driving behind me on a bumpy road, my rear view looks like a Japanese robot cartoon.
It's not so much looks for me. In almost every instance having the fog lights on you get a hell of a lot more coverage around the right and left side of your car with light. So they are functional even without fog present.
I can't stand HIDs, they were made to blind oncoming traffic. As for fog lights, it makes my car look better plus I've never heard of them being a bother? Old people...... Just die already
I find those HID lights very annoying as well. I guess my old age begins with "those darn headlights".
The brightness of those lights are no where near bothersome. If it bothers you that much take a moment to flip down the little tab to get rid of the glare on your rear view mirror. Hell you might even have an auto dimming rear view mirror for all I know and you shouldn't even be bothered. Your argument is a bit over the top considering High beams are a hell of a lot more potent then fog lights.
You're taking your argument up with the wrong ppl drox. Go call the manufacturers who install them in the calls they sell. Otherwise, feel completely free to pay me the cost of my car, and I will use my foglights however you wish.
HIDs are so much better than the stone age halogen lamps... Is that even an agrument? Halogen lamps just seem unsafe sometimes now when you compare them with HIDs. 5x more visibility now I DO have a problem with people that use HIDs without projector setups. the reflector housing disperses the light everywhere, which leads to the blinding you speak of. Plus, it just screams cheap. Don't knock the HIDs just 'cause your car doesn't have em
