Let's not get too excited over one good scoring night in a preseason game without Gasol. KT had a whole season of games with a stat sheet like TMo got in this one.

Lobo, you are right about getting to excited; however you should note that some are more excited about Boki who has not scored yet. Personally, I just want Tmo to be counted and not be forgotten.

We did not hear much about him in the offseason, but if you followed him last year, you knew that if certain key moves were made by him, he would be a major asset. Really the last part of his game that was need was the offense. Clutch did warn us a few days ago and then he comes out and take the first opportunity given to show the new and improved Tmo. All this while Wonder Kid struggled.

Is this a flash in the pan? I do not think so. Tmo saw what happened to DL; he knows he is in the last year of his contract; and he worked his butt off in the off season.

I would think that Boki best opportunity for meaningful minutes would be to compete with OT for the backup 2 spot. If Wally and Hedo can do it, so can he.

It's not like he had a real chance to show what he could do. Boki was only on the court for about 3 minutes and he didn't get a touch at all..Thankfully this is just preseason, and we still have a few more games to see whether Tmo is for real this year or if Boki is being over-hyped or not.

Ya gotta admit, it's nice to have so much depth at all positions now. Something we haven't had in a few years.. I'm pumped..;)

crash-- llike I said, "or something like that"..I didnt have the numbers in front of me.

Exactly what I was thinking. I certainly like KT, and don't want to get overhyped by one pre-season game (*cough* Cato's contract *cough*) but if T-Mo comes around, he and Boki would be perfect at the 3.

It makes a whole lot of sense. How come Kenny doesn't have a contract? The reason why they are holding on to him is for insurance that Mo. Taylor doesn't get injured. I think the Rockets know what kenny is capable of doing but he just doesn't fit this team. IF he did fit the team why would the Rockets go and draft Griffin, Morris and Nachbar when they knew they had Kenny?

Tito is definitely IR, and Brown has potential coming from the bench with mooch as 3rd PG.!Tierre can picture the floor better than Mooch, I think!

Kenny is going nowhere. CD said no major moves and that make a lot of sense. We have space for KT. Someone compared him to Worthy which I thought was fair. Just put on your seat belt and enjoy the ride.

The only way I see the Rockets keeping kenny the rest of the season is they are not completely sold on Mo taylor achiles has healed properly. Keeping kenny will only stunt the development of Morris and Nachbar. These guys need to get on floor and grow with this young team.

I seem to agree with DearRock in that it may be better to groom Nachbar to be a 2 guard. He just didn't seem comfortable to me standing around the 3 pt line when we know he's a take it to the bucket type of guy. I think this would be a balanced lineup utilizing current talents:

    PG - Steve, Mooch
    SG - Cat, Boki, OT
    SF - Rice, KT, Tmo
    PF - MoT, Eddie
    C - Ming, Cato
    IR - Collier, Brown, Tito

If no major changes are made so they can develop together, this is future Championship contender for sure.

I don't care about Morris's and Nachbar's development. I want to win games and KT is better than both of them at the moment.

I think you need to go back and look at roster again and see how much talent is on this team. This team will make it to playoffs if everybody stays healthy. Once we get rid of the black hole, this team will start to gel better.

Boki is not 2 material. He does not have the handles for 2 position.

1st cat shoots to much, then Steve, now kennyThomas. You want him traded because he is too good?? He plays anywhere and beats out the competition. Trading KT just dosent make sense

I am not saying that Boki is 2 material but it could not be such a ridiculous idea. If his handles is not good enough to get minutes there then he should work on that part of his game. The reality of it is, barring a serious injury, he has some sitting to do. That sitting is a lot less, probably, if he shows some interest in 2 spot.

Just like in practice, Tmo was our best player in last night's game. I did not see the game but the box score and radio broadcast suggest so. Mobley played well but the 9 turnovers while Tmo had 4 assists make me give it to Tmo. With a fairly even distribution of minutes, Tmo proved equal to all our other hightly touted forwards. At this point, no serious discussion about our forwards can take place without the inclusion of Tmo's name. Two months ago, that was not the case. In addition, from here on we can drop the disrespectful qualification:''...let's see if he can do it in the regular season"

It seems barring a major injury our rotation will be at least 11 players. Whoa!

Wow, how wrong was I?

TMo looks damn good. He looks good enough to start at the 3. That is good news. It gives Rice more cushion to work his way back without huge pressure to hurry up or overdo it.

And Boki looks like the second coming of Langhi...

Our lineup looks like this to me:

Steve, Cat, Cato, EG, KT. Tierre, Oscar, Yao Ming, MT, Rice, TMo, Tito. IR: Boki, Mooch, Collier
