$3 million expiring contract. Now that the Wiz have Rashard and Thornton pairing at the small forward, I wonder if he could be had for nothing but a trade exception. Would be a low risk gamble for a playoff team to take to bring him in for a look for half a season.
Yeah, I wonder where he'll go... My bets on the Lakers. I think Miami is too cheap for him and I think the Celtics don't want wings. And not Dallas obviously lol.
That would be a humdinger for LA to pull that off. But I have a feeling you could be right. Makes sense for them. But they don't have a first rounder and don't know if they have a trade exception. Washington definitely would not want Blake or some other salary back. Of course, if Howard gets bought out, all bets are off.
Artest has lost a step, and really is on a decline, and if he keeps getting torched like Lebron did to him, he will be benched for Barnes.
never liked the guy...just couldnt stand looking at him for some reason...im sure it didnt help much either that he always put up like 20 in the 1st quarter against the Rox.
If you got Josh Howard for $3M of one of exceptions, who would you cut? We have 15 roster spots, but Josh would be #16.
ummmm... Have you forgotten that we have Chase Suckinger and JJ? If we could get Josh with an exception, that would be an awesome pickup. It would be a prefect low risk high reward Morey type move. He is a solid defender and scorer but its just that he has some character issues.
Jeffries would cost the remainder of his $7M contract to cut, and it would still count against the cap, which essentially means you have added $3M to the luxury tax. Chase, with his $800K contract, would be considerably less but the result would be the same. IMO it's way to early to give up on Bud. He is in the throes of the worst sophomore jinx ever, but he has the talent and skills to survive it.
He has talent; he also is doing a master work of showcasing his weaknesses, the guy is too weak and slow for his position, wherever you put him, as a SF or as a SG.
