Damn, I just heard about this from a friend who texted me. I loved this woman's singing. I watched her documentary on TV One and her talent was amazing, but her life story along with her relationship with Rick James was just messed up.

One of my favorites by her is "ooh la la la". Loved everytime they hit that line :

Rose Royce did one of my favorite songs of all time, Wishing on a Star. Gwen Dickey's voice on that was something out of this world. Teena Marie did something very few artists can ever do successfully - she nailed the remake of it in her own style. This is a soulful angel singing :

Don't know too much about her. But Top Gun is on TV right now and it had this one song of hers.
