Damn, I just heard about this from a friend who texted me. I loved this woman's singing. I watched her documentary on TV One and her talent was amazing, but her life story along with her relationship with Rick James was just messed up. One of my favorites by her is "ooh la la la". Gwen Dickey's voice on that was something out of this world. Teena Marie did something very few artists can ever do successfully - she nailed the remake of it in her own style.
