So essentially we could take this half game deficit and turn it into at the minimum a 1.5 game lead. That could be awesome...
We can also catch 7th seeded Denver, who just lost to Philly and are only 2 games ahead of us , and will probably spiral down with the Melo situation !
Could care less about the 8th seed, strictly looking at the 6th seed. If we can move up to the 6th seed after the nightmare schedule in Jan, we could do some serious damage come May.
Nothing in my post said anything about being realistic or having a logical view and being or not being a Rockets fan. I just don't like fans that claim to be fans and do nothing but criticize the team, players, coaches and management. IMO, as a fan, I want my team to win. Teams that tank, get the mind set of losing. Which in turn are called losers. Whether we win the Championship or not, I'd rather not call the Rockets a bunch of losers. I'd rather them fight for every win they can get and hold their head high. How could I continue to give my support to a team that finds it easier to quit than leave it all on the court? I don't think fans supporting losing in "hopes" of landing a superstar that will take them to the promise land being call sacrifice. What if it does work that year? Sacrifice again? And again? Getting into the mind set of losing. Sounds like the easy way out, rather than working hard. Competitors have too much pride to lay down, saying their only hope is for the lotto. IMO the Rockets are releveant. IMO Morey is working hard, Rick is working hard and the team is working hard. I believe in what the Rockets management is doing. Les wants to win bad, and winning starts from the top. I'll take the playoffs any day over a lotto season. That's just me. I'd rather hold my head high and support my team. For those that like to play the lottery, there's a saying. "You can't win if you don't play."
Rox 2.5 behind the Hornets for the 6th spot, 1.5 behind the Nuggets for the 7th spot and 5 games behind OKC for the 5th spot. Blazers are leading the Jazz late but its only a 3 point game.
