Well, mathematically we got all the odds. We're playing the at home against a rookie team. Portland is struggling and will be playing against the Utah jAzz. It's time.
There's many on this board that only criticize, talk negatively and would rather see the team tank. I don't call these guys fans though. "Fans" support their teams and want to see their teams win. I hope they take 8th and then work for 7th, and eventually get home court (at least in the first round).
no doubt we can grab 8, the rockets and wizards are going in completely opposite directions and we definitely have all the momentum and advantage going in
I think they are out for the San Antonio game today and back tomorrow, but still they are playing back to back road games so that should help us
Considering where we started this season, it's pretty remarkable that we are back in the midst of things in the West. We have a tough schedule coming up, but with our bench playing better and our starters feeling more comfortable, we have a good chance at staying in the top 8. I doubt Portland, one of the few teams with more injury problems than us, will be able to stay healthy enough to make a real play for the playoffs.
So if you have a realistic and logical view of the Rockets you aren't a real fan? Those fans would go through hell to see their team lose if it paid off by getting a superstar and making the Rockets relevant again. Granted tanking doesn't guarantee that, but sometimes it's the the smart and only choice.
Phoenix lost!! We need Phoenix and Portland to lose like crazy so we are far and away in the 8th spot. Don't we play Portland twice in the next two weeks?...
