going on a 5 hour plane trip and have a new netbook (i.e. no dvd drive)... anyways I remember a thread (which i couldn't find) where there were some websites for streaming movies... however any sites where I could download a few movies or tv shows since I won't have internet on the plane... free would be good thanks
youtubedownloader (http://download.cnet.com/YouTube-Downloader/3000-2071_4-10647340.html) will let you download movies from youtube.com/movies. Selection's not great but decent enough for a plane ride. My kids loved the old westerns on our recent plane trip.
Rip your DVDs onto MPG or AVIs or ISO files. Transfer to your PC with a flash drive or external hard drive, or take the external with you. Mount ISOs with Daemon Tools, watch with VLC or Windows Media Player. Pay a service that allows you to download now, play later (offline), like maybe NetFlix... and even then, I don't know if you could do this. Otherwise, copy the "digital copy" version of the DVDs, if any, to your iTunes or Windows Media Player and play them later.
Yeah, I actually think I'll just rip some of my own dvd's onto ISO files.. forgot about that possibility..
Graboid.com for Dexter, Mike and Molly, Big Bang Theory, Mentalist, Better With You and IT Crowd (all unavailable through conventional online sources). But you have to get a monthly membership for bandwidth.
