You know the Rockets did have something to do with the outcome of those two games. Give them some f***ing credit!
Rockets played well but there is no denying that the Lakers took it easy as soon as Yao went down. They were expecting us to fold but we fought back. I loved that series, I am just annoyed by people saying that the Rockets were "close" to beating the Lakers in that series when they really were not. The fact that the Rockets completely blew out the Lakers just makes it more likely that the Lakers did not show up, that and then the utter domination of the game 7.
First, I said "give them some effing credit" because that's actually a direct quote from Phil Jackson during that series. Second, your last point could be used both ways. The fact that the Lakers completely blew out the Rockets just makes it more likely that the Rockets did not show up in the games in LA.
"I see Kobe driving down the lane with the ball he loves, and he's like fu** youuu and a fu** youuu tooo...said if he was richer..."
its not called being complacent and not showing up. Don't be fooled by these performances...these Lakers will lose big games at home and at home as the season moves along and its not gonna make a difference because they lost against quality opponents last year, lost against bad opponents as well and they still ended up being a different team in the playoffs and winning the finals. So get used to these types of losses because this team is built and focused on the playoffs not regular season.
Why would a team not show up for game 7??? Are you insinuating that the Rockets quit and did not believe they could win?
