bob is so delusional that he needs kubes to step down on his own. c'mon kubes you know you should be fired so please do everyone, including mr. mcnair, a favor and resign.
I predict Tebow lights us up on the ground. Also, I predict Tebow lights us up in the air to the point to where McDaniels is almost asked back.
Something that gives the Texans an edge: we've never had ANY type of success. What would Cowher look like taking this team to its first ever playoff run (and hopefully playoff runs) and makes this former expansion franchise a successful one? That would definitely look good on his coaching resume. Plus, Houston is the city that resembles Pittsburgh the most out of NYC/Miami/Houston. Blue-collar, hard work feel. I'm sure Cowher would go for that. Hopefully the Giants win out and the Dolphins give Sparono another year.
This was after the loss on MNF. McNair has put himself into a corner after the loss to the Titans yesterday. Doesn't look good for him and now people are expecting Kubiak to be fired, because the team quit on him yesterday. You could see it. Arian wasn't running as hard it seemed (before his injury), the attitude and body language of the team just felt so bland. Blank faces on the sidelines, too. Time for Kubiak to leave.
Is this city always linked to New York in some way? Even if Cowher si trying to raise his pay, teams will still go pay him. With so many underachieving teams this year, they will claw each other for his services.
Yeah, you should probably just be done with 'em now. It's unlikely that Cowher will be the coach next season, so just give up. You seem to be good at it, anyway.
Really? You must not really be a fan. I'll support all the Houston teams as long as I live. I don't always agree with all the moves that the owners or coaches make, but I'll always root for my Houston teams. I'm a native Houstonian, so I really couldn't be a fan of a team from another city. The years between the Oilers and the Texans were horrible, I really lost interest in pro football to a degree. we have a team in Houston because of Bob McNair. If you want to give up on the Texans just because they don't hire the coach you want, then goodbye.
There is no wonder Cowher would like this job. He has to look at this team and think .. D*mn If I were coaching they would easily be 9-5 Rocket River
This is a load of judgemental, high-and-mighty, bullcrap. Just quit. I hate--as in loathe and despise--all the magnanimous "true fan" bullcrap thrown around here as if one type of "fan" is better than another. I like "fairweather" fans. I like "bandwaggoners", too. Me, too. But I won't tell others they're "not a fan" or (and I really love this one) "not a TRUE FAN!!!!!!1" just because they feel differently. It's freaking sports. Concepts like truism and loyalty are just silly when applied to a freaking entertainment industry. Guess what? When a team makes a string of idiotic choices and loses more than Wall Street circa 1929, people stop watching and lose interest. It's real life. Deal with it.
At this point, Cowher or no Cowher, as long as I no longer have to see Kubiak's face on the Texans sideline next year I will be happy. If he is still there next year I am going to rage.
He's kind of the guy who started the trend of Baltimore having a top defense every year. They were pretty bad when he became the DC there. They became average in his 2nd and 3rd years and became top notch his last 3 years there. He was the DC when they won the Super Bowl. He could very well succeed being purely a DC.
Ignore that, he is a GREAT DC. Just look at Rod Marinelli, the guy was 0-16 as a coach and has turned that Bears "D" around. My dream DC coaches... Lewis Fox Singletary
