We just traded FOR TWill and Lee. Why would they be on the trading block already? And why would Cbud be untouchable? Yes, let's keep our worst players because DD likes them!

That probably wasn't the best thing for you to say to folks that bash anything you write.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand... I'm glad he's doing better but I just don't see the same player out there that we had last year. Playing with Lowry or not, if Chase wants to keep the minutes he has right now, he better get his stuff together.

I don't see them trading Martin unless we're able to swing for a legit center. Martin has been a zero on defensive but has been a big plus on the offensive end.

    Kevin Martin
    Chuck Hayes (Or Patrick Patterson)

    for

    Danny Granger...

Pacers would kill to have Chuck or Patterson at PF to go with Roy Hibbert. They have been looking for an adequate PF ever since they lost Murphy. McRoberts and Hansbrough suck balls. Kevin Martin is pretty similar to Granger (They don't lose any scoring), and they can bring up Paul George to play the SF. Check out this young stud roster...

    Darren Collison
    Kevin Martin
    Paul George
    Patrick Patterson
    Roy Hibbert

Rockets get a potential superstar in Granger, and they finally get rid of the crappy defensive backcourt pairing of Martin and Brooks. Terrence Williams is the ideal playmaking/defending SG to help create looks for three elite scorers: Danny Granger, Aaron Brooks and Luis Scola.

    Aaron Brooks
    Terrence Williams
    Danny Granger
    Luis Scola
    Jordan Hill

We still need a Center eventually, forsooth... :(

    I lost confidence in Bud.

I expect him to be a trade bait.

I used to like him, but when someone sucks for a whole 1/4 of the season, something is very very wrong. In fact, this looks more like a hot streak for Bud more than anything else.

Bud's confidence is more fragile than T-mac and Yao's body, and confidence is everything for a shooter.

I don't think Bud will ever be able to handle playoff atmosphere nor playoff games. I could already see Luther Head in Bud, except this time we could avoid the mistake and trade Bud whiles he still has value.

I love how everyone is fist pumping for T Will eventhough he has had ZERO playtime with the Rockets offense and 0 real game time. Getting all excited off youtube clips and previous play with another team may not be an accurate foreshadowing of how he will perform with the Rockets.

No thanks to Granger. He strikes me as a fringe all-star that is only used best as a 2nd or 3rd option on a contender. I want a home run. I want a real superstar.

Morey has given us reason to believe. If he really believes that this kid can be "a great player", that is something to be excited about.

Granger is slightly better than Martin, just because we can break up the skinny backcourt, imo.

    Brooks
    Terrence
    Granger

Would be a freaking scary 1-2-3...

That said, we need a new Center before we have any chance of doing ANYTHING.

    Come on Daryl!!!

I kind of agree with you. I wouldnt be surprised that Kmart is dealt. He is not a 2 way player like Lee and Twill. I'd do a trade to get a future a star.....

    Batum+Prizbilla+Fernandez

    for

    Bud, Martin, Ish or brooks.

his problems are all in his head. he has a very fragile mentality and that's not gonna change any time soon. even if he comes out of this slump and shoots lights out the next 2 months, he may just as easily go back to being a dud the last 2 months of the season. point being, you have to be able to rely on your role players. when the ball gets kicked out to him on the arc at the end of game 7, we need to know that he's going to drain that shot. and unless some psychiatrist works wonders on his head, it's more likely he'll just choke like a p***y in those situations. i loved him last year and still like his skillset, but it's pretty clear at this point he can't be relied upon. what's more i'm sort of getting tired of watching him mope around with that hopeless basset hound expression game after game. so trade him.

I think you read that wrong. He was saying Martin is expendable BECAUSE of our acquisitions of Twill and Lee. I completely agree with him.

As far as trading Budinger, sure I'd be for it. But what are you going to get back for him? Everyone else is seeing the same thing we're seeing. You're not going to get a haul for trading Chase Budinger.. he's the type of guy you throw-in on a deal to sweeten the pot.

Bud and Brooks (and maybe picks) for Cousins is not a bad deal at all.

We have more room to develop Williams, and we get a future frontcourt of Hill, Cousins and PPat.

Not to mention, we could develop Ish.

We could have a future starting lineup of Lowry, Martin/Lee, Williams, Hill/PPat, Cousins.

We could have a huge defensive presence in the paint (Cousins and Hill both have huge defensive potential). With all that height, athletism and youth, we could be the next OKC (or even better).

this is true. but trading him still achieves one very important thing. if bud is not on the roster, then adelman will not be able to play him 25min a game.

Trust me, I would give up just about anything to have Hill/Cousins on the Rockets for the next decade.

I just don't think Sac will give him up, sadly enough.

DD, you keep saying he's breaking out of the slump by referencing that he's been playing well in the last 5 games. But he's actually played well in only 2 of those games.

In the last 3 games, he's shooting 33% from the field, 11% from three point land, and averaging 5.7 PPG. He has been decent rebounding the ball, but he's still struggling in almost every other facet of the game.

You're right, I definitely read that wrong. I actually agree, Lee makes Martin completely expendable, as he's the kind of two-way role player that would shine next to whatever superstar we trade Martin for.

    My apologies, DD.

He won't play on the road trip unless its a blowout. He hasn't even had a real practice with the team yet, and its not like he's a seasoned vet that can fit in without the practice time. He has a lot to learn still, and Adelman is trying to win games and get back to .500 before January.

Too early to tell, what if Williams shows he can play the 3 or becomes a good PG? Williams play will definitely be a major factor in determining which players could be involved in a trade. It will probably take a player like Martin or Brooks to get a talented player at the C or SF positions.
