Hollywood at one time at least used to sort of pretend it was about the acting CRAFT and you had to be somewhat pre-qualified with acting schools and such. Now its about being famous, and hopefully there's some talent to mold out of that. Its not that EVERY actress is a total bombshell either. Or every Playboy model would be an actress. But its definitely the best looking people who can escape by with a little talent. Its like the Oakland Raiders method of player evaluation, drafting players cuz they can run a sub 4.4 forty. Hollywood now is like if the XFL actually worked over the NFL.
They still make movies like that. Just not in 'Hollywood'. Maybe you're just looking in the wrong place?
