Lee was keeping the game from getting ugly in the 1st 1/2. I really thought the Lee/Ariza trade was about money but I think Morey was about getting a better player for less.
The Kings lose 80% of the time, it is not an accomplishment to beat them. Also, Jordan Hill had five fouls in his limited minutes.
Um, so what? This is meaningless without a graph/chart/diagram... All that 5 fouls means is that Hill was aggressive in the time he played...
J-Hill needs to be starting and getting 30+mpg from this point forward. Hayes is good in spurts but Hill is the most complete center we have. I know it's just the guys but idc! Give this guy minutes!
You mean how hill still played less than Hayes? Look this is my problem with RA, he just doesn't know how to use the roster DM gives him. A lot of posters here say we suck or whatever, but the truth is we just have terrible rotations. We were just lucky the Kings have worse problems than us, normally putting C-bud for 20 mins means an automatic loss. Hill should have been starting months ago, yet Hayes is still starting for reasons I don't know. Lee could have had a career game tonight, unfortunately he only got 14 mins. Of we got PP from the Dleague only to sit on the bench, and looks like we got Twill for the exact same reason.
I agree with you. Lowry is so tough physically and mentally--never quits. AB still gets easily flustered. Hill and Martin--I think we're keeping them. With the right match-ups, Hill dominates the lane. There are some bigger guys he will have difficulty matching up with, but that group is getting smaller. Martin hit a key clutch and1 to put us back up by 5 late in the 4th. What I like about Martin is his court smarts. If the defender is playing him tough, he will pull something from his bag of tricks to get points. We just need to cover for him defensively and I think the whole team is willing to do that for him.
So how long until Jordan's in the starting lineup and we start using PPat next to Brad to start getting him ready?
Hill was in foul trouble all night. He had 3 fouls in like 6 minutes in the first half. Notice how he got almost all the 4th quarter minutes though.
He puts up points against bad defenses. I'll give him that. In every other facet, not good. Defense was horrendous tonight, contributed to most of the defensive breakdowns in the first half and early second half, but fortunately Sac's offense was discombobulated in the 4th quarter with Shane Battier covering up Evans and Hill making some stops in the interior.
battier was about to have a bad night(we were about to lose). Thank you rick for resting him. Ab looked like a threat commanding attention and freeing others. I thought Clyde said TW is 6'7. Anyways he is our answer at the sf.
This is my problem with Kev, love the guy on offense but the other parts of his game are BIG issues. I'm not saying that I would have done Gortat for Martin straight up, NO WAY, but if a third team could have been brought in for additional pieces that could have benefited the Rox...it wouldn't have been a horrible trade.
