Remember when Chad Ford said the Rockets' good luck this off-season may be running out and they had no chance of landing r. Lewis. Well, it looks like luck was again on our side: http://www.tribnet.com/sports/basketball/sonics/story/1913015p-2026901c.html I was very pro Lewis. I think he IS going to be an All-Star, but this thing does sound scarry. Good lesson on why you should never, EVER, turn money down...
I have said it before and will say it EVERY time a lewis thread comes out and this time I think most that read the link you posted will agree WE DONT NEED LEWIS OR HIS ARM PROBLEMS ...
Oh man, how sad! He would miss the entire season? Sounds like the Taylor issue, that means, if the seatle fans are anything like Houston fans they will be trying to ship him off soon for "trash" and bags of chips.
That's why I wanted Nachbar over Rashard and his huge contract at a position we already didn't need help at.
Where's Rockhead? He could superimpose that picture of Lewis over the great wall of China letting go of a BMX bike.
I guess i am one of the few that did not want Lewis. I knew about his shoulder and the fact it would be easily injured. I also want Nachbar to get more minutes which i assume he will get because Rice does not deserve to start.
Looks like Lewis needs surgury which will cause him to miss the entire year. http://www.tribnet.com/sports/basketball/sonics/story/1913015p-2026901c.html
I feel bad for Lewis. RT and CD may have had a better idea of his health than they get credit for. Imagine if we'd signed him... wow.
The Rox never really had a chance of geting Lewis anyways. But now I really wish that Dallas would have signed him instead. The look on Mark Cuban's face? Would have been Priceless.
It wouldn't have been as bad for Dallas as it would be for Seattle. Dallas would've signed him for 3 years, while Seattle signed him for 6 years. Anyways, let's wish him the best, and hope it's not serious. I think he'll be back by all star break though, won't he?
Some reports that are coming out of Seattle are saying that he could be a go for the regular season; so don't count him out for the entire season just yet.
The only way he could be a go for the regular season is if he doesn't have surgery, and if he doesn't have surgery he is HIGHLY susceptible to another shoulder dislocation. You already saw the preseason, his first true game and he injured the shoulder. If he has surgery he's done for the year, he couldn't test the shoulder until April if he did have surgery, at least that's what the doctors said.
