Griffin does not just rely on athleticism. Just because he is a superior athlete to everyone not named Lebron James does not mean he exclusively relies on his athleticism.
Hill matches up with Griffin physically? Are we talking about the same Hill? Yes he is a well-above average athlete even in terms of the NBA, but we are talking about Griffin, man.
Like Stoudemire, Griffin isn't really a back-you-down post up player. You have to stay between him and the basket, keep a body on him, move your feet, be physical. Chuck was able to do it successfully against Amare back in November, so he's our best option against Griffin. He'll be a load to handle, though.
blake is one of my favorite non rox players...i think chuck is the only option..no one really is strong enough to stop this guy on our team....i just hope we outscore them overall..its ok if he does pretty well..as long as we shut down everyone else..dont want some1 like dcuz tearing us up on the inside. Maybe hill could be used on BG..but i dk if he has enough defensive mentality to hang with him...going to be an interesting game, cant wait!

Chuck--I will take devious, sneaky,crafty, & strength over young & not so experienced all the time. But Chuck is going to have his work cut out for him. Griffin has a great future. We just have to shut the rest of there team down.

Griffin himself is a foul machine. I don't think he can stop Scola. Scola will make him in foul trouble.
Griffin has been putting up big numbers against everyone, so it looks like no one has figured out a way to stop Griffin. The real question should be, can we stop Brian Cook?
Mathematically possible but Hayes is smart ass. At 6'6'', he won't be playing center in the NBA if his IQ is like Jordan Hill's.
and that tells us what we lack. i don't think any opponents' coaches or fans ask themselves: do we have anybody to stop this guy on the rockets? although the clips are bad, but they are slowly figuring it out that griffin is their key to success and he's getting the ball more. this won't be an easy game. they just won 2 games in a row on the road, including vs a great home team like the bulls, with drose going off. we have to play a great game to beat this clips team (feels weird to type that)
