http://www.msnbc.com/news/815371.asp Count the Rockets as another team converted to the flowing, motion offense in the style of the Kings and Nets. Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich says he wanted to incorporate a new offense last season, but the devastating run of injuries — the team lost 304 games to injury, third-most in the league — required that he keep things simple. THE NEW OFFENSE will lessen the reliance on PG Steve Francis, and Houston has the right personnel to pull it off. With C Yao Ming and SF Bostjan Nachbar, plus the return of PF Maurice Taylor from injury and the development of SF Eddie Griffin, the Rockets have versatile big men who can hit jumpers and pass, as well as play the post. That’s essential to a motion offense. . . . The Rockets have been unsuccessful thus far in finding PF Kenny Thomas a new home. Thomas had the best season of his career last year (14.1 points and 7.2 rebounds) while filling in for Taylor. But Thomas is a restricted free agent next summer, and with Taylor and Griffin aboard, Thomas would be better off with another team. . . .
I love Kenny Thomas with a passion (great footwork, long arms). However, I have to somewhat agree with that article =(. As long as Rice, Nachbar, Griffin and Taylor are around, he has to be the odd man out. Could we get a mid to late first rounder for him? Personally, I think he would be a good fit in Orlando.
