Thanks to Scola taking it from behind from Gay with no protection, the grizzlies will be losing tonight to the spurs, this will put us ahead of them for the 10th spot in the west, and just one game behind the suns (which just lost Jrich and will therefore suck badly) we get back brooks and overtake them for the 9th, then we just have portland, also a game ahead of us, which will start to encounter increased suckage due to the decline of the brandon "I look like an R&B star" roy Playoffs are looking likely.
so you want us to get to the first round and get our azzes handed to us by the Lakers/Spurs/Mavs and miss out on a lottery pick? Ok
1. We are not a lottery team, look at our record without our starting point guard, so either way we are not getting a good pick in the weak draft. 2. We can beat the spurs and lakers, as far as the mavs, well injuries happen 3. What is an azz?
Without an interior presence and another all-star at SF, we are 1st rd victims. If we can get both of those two things then we got a shot at the WCF.
That's the problem with this team. They're too good to tank but are only good enough for a 6th throught 8th seed. It is obvious that we can't get very far in the playoffs with this team. At least it will be fun to watch them though since they won't tank.
It is important to try to get into playoffs. the playoff experience is so important that it can make players level up, as it is much more intense and tough than regular season.
yes, I would like to compete in the playoffs (1st or 8th seed it doesn't matter) a fan that wants to tank is not a fan!
http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Std_Cnf.html We are are still 11th but when we beat Sacs then will be 10th. Portland are gonan win against GSW Phx will be ded without Jrich and it will take time to get their chemistry.
I agree. Carter can attack the basket and hit the outside shot while getting easy buckets from Nash, Lopez and Gortat is a nice center duo, and Pietrus gives them defense and outside shooting. Phoenix got better IMO.
yes. you compete for a chance in the playoffs. that was the easiest answer I've ever posted on this message board. any poster who thinks he is speaking for others like it is the common philosophy among other fans TO TANK THE SEASON needs their head examined.
As I have said before; even if you are of the "tank" persuasion (which I'm not) this isn't the season to tank. With the CBA ending, the probable players lock out by the owners & a potential lost partial or whole season; what college underclassman would want to declare for the 2011 draft (if there is one) and risk loosing up to 19 months of basketball playing time? That being said, can anyone name a college senior that is worth a guarenteed 3 year contract?
Imagine if every team with a similar sort of record floating around the .500 mark decided they weren't championship contenders and decided to tank. Just seeing teams purposely brick shots to lose games or play their bench the majority of the game. It's the NBA it's meant to be entertaining for fans, I sure as hell don't want to get excited over a missed shot or a loss because it may get us a better pick.
