You don't have to Throw punches to get your point across. No one is asking them to to become Apollo Creed in Rocky 4. A simple "Don't do that **** again." in close proximity goes a long way for team unity.

Scola doesn't require defense from teammates. He cannot be hurt.

doesn't matter. At that point the other team is self-dstructing and you have a 20 pt lead. Even something like that could earn you a tech and it gives them a point and maybe enough of a wake up call for them to get back in the game. The smart thing to do is not give them any fuel, let them get upset and make mistakes, make the free throw and keep them down.

Now the LA game is a different story. LA was trying to bully Houston, it was a much more obvious play (to the players), they were losing, and were the underdogs of the series. Different circumstances call for different reactions. Still not smart to give them a freebie, but they could have swarmed scola some...

Really i think it's just the team knowing Scola doesn't escalate things or even react. He shrugs it off and i think they know he can take care of himself if it comes to that.

Frankly, I do not want RV6 around me as a teammate if Ricky Martin is sneaking up to me from behind.

I have a feeling RV6 will only assist him.

Shows a lack of toughness to me. You have to let your guys know that you've got their backs.

If you're playing in a league with basketball talent like Ricky Martin, then i dont think I want to be on your team either, or you league for that matter..

do you really think Scola is out there thinking "man they arent good teammates, they dont have my back". I really doubt that. Like i said, Scola can take care of himself, he's one of the big guys. If anything, he needs to protect the smaller guys and he usually does step in at least.

Are you r****ded? No one is talking about physical actions by Rockets players.. What I'd like to see is maybe Lowry or Martin or Miller get in Gay's face and make him know that we're not gonna take that ****. It goes a long way for a team's unity. That kind of stuff catches on, and players will come together more.

Thanks. This is what I am getting at. Is this the message Scola's teammates are sending him?

Lowry is good buds with Rudy Gay. Conflict of interest there, hence him not standing up for Scola.

You can't pound Scola from behind without consequences.

So walking up to a player and getting in his face isn't a "physical action"?. That is r****ded. It's going to get you a tech at the very least. Lowry isn't doing anything to Gay, they're best buds. And this team is united enough, which is why they don't feel the need to retaliate in a case like this. Leave that for the real battles, not 20 pt blowouts. It starts a chain reaction that's completely unecessary when you have the upper hand by a large margin.

You were getting at the fact that i dont want to play in a league with bad talent? Really? That was your whole point?

You don't have to touch someone to get in their face.

And oh no God forbid for someone to get a technical while sticking up for their teammate!! What would the world come to?? Not a technical foul!! Oh the agony!!

No need to go crazy after a guy, of course that would be stupid, but let them know.

He's hated on here, fair enough, but he was always there during scuffles...like Phoenix.

Exactly this. Show some damn backbone toward your teammates!!

If this happend to Scola or Battier or Brooks, Lowry would just point and stare stupid at his teammate lying on the ground.

    Oh wait... that already happened.
