If I am Mobley and the Rockets come to me, we'll take care of you if you sign this contract worth less.

Well the Maloney situation would make me feel there is loyalty in the organization!!!

But the thing that would creep up in my mind is the Harrington handling. Harrington was a player who could have gotten a bigger contract if he had gone the route of free agency. But, Harrington showed loyalty to this organization and took a lesser contract to play for the team he like!!!

But along came the deal of Dickerson, Harrington, Carr, and Price for Francis and some other guys.

But, does the Harrington situation affect Mobley's decision to stay with the Rockets?

Well then, would you have traded Dickerson, Mobley, Harrington, Carr, and Price for Francis and the other guys?

    Hmmmmm.... I would have.

Now, with that said, If the Rocks lose Mobley, I'd not be upset. However, the Anderson situation will definatley fix all bad public relations built by the Harrington deal.

So, Anderson will get his contract and it will be better than market value. Maybee not by much but definatley good money. So, all the bags are on Anderson not Mobley.

Mobley would be the casualty of a broken relationship with Harrington!!! Anderson is to prove a mending with future relationships.

How bout we flip it around

Not that it was Harrington's choice to leave, his change of team could also convince Mobs to stay, Harrington had a NICHE here in Houston, had a role and played good ball and from what i understand enjoyed his bball here.

Although i was not his choice to leave, he hasn't play as well in Vanland and from what you hear certainly isn't enjoying it, his situation says

"if you have a good wicket don't change it".

The NBA is all about situation and being in the right place at the right time, how many players have change teams and change the direction of their career, both ways for good and bad, for mob his career here in Htown is on the up, who knows if that will continue somewhere else.

    Smeg

PS Small sidenote, Kittles is out for the year and the Nets have applied for Two 4 million dollar execptions (one each for Kittles and J Williams), if they get them they'd have to be a late candidate for Mobes services, gotta love the speed in a back court of Marbury and Mobes.

No, Cat knows he is a major contributor and the Rocks won't trade him.

Any team that would trade Sam Cassell and Robert Horry for a desperate final bid for the championship, would trade Cat if they thought it would make the team better. The only player that's never had to worry about being dealt is the Dream. Otherwise, everyone has been fair game....and the players know it.

    Geez Gascon,

Were you around when all the Ray/Steve Patterson, Dream Trade, Dream Tanking, etc. fiascos were going on? It's pretty well-known that Dream was about to be traded on at least 2 occassions.
