Do you know what the rules are? The camera is not huge, but I wouldn't be able to hide it under my coat...

I was wondering the same thing about the United Center for the Rockets vs. Bulls game a few weeks ago. I ended up not taking my dSLR, but the ticket usher told me they were allowed - as long as the lens isn't too big.

I also think it depends on the arena.

What kind did you end up getting?

I wouldn't do that. Even if you sneak it in, it's not worth it trying to sneak well-composed pictures from your seat.

I am pretty sure they don't allow DSLRs, was there for the Knicks/Rox and they were pretty thorough about searching bags as well so I wouldn't attempt to sneak one in.

not all SLR's have zoom lenses, so to speak.

that rule listed above doesn't specifically state anything about a normal lens?

It's funny because other than my dSLR, my only other cameras are a 4 year old Canon Powershot point and shoot, and my iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 is far superior to the Canon Powershoot.

Hey sLaNd B a L L a, I bought the camera you recommended :) (German version, called EOS 550d, with 18-135 mm kit). I haven't taken any pictures with it yet, though, seems kind of complicated, I have to read the manual first .

550d/t2i? Love those canon cameras...especially for video. I would have loved to see some sweet HD photo from your seat.

    60D person here.
