Except Hakeem. That was a nice guy who ruled the basketball world.

(Also, I'm a nice guy, and my girlfriend always complains that I finish first.)

yao may never be a champion at his trade, but i doubt anyone even vaguely familiar with yao's character and demeanor would question his heart.

yao ming has the heart of a champion and the grace of the dream.

if you disagree, well, you are silly.

We really should just outsource all of our rehabilitation needs to Phoenix. The name of the town alone should help along the healing process for our injured guys, as well as their superior training and rehabilitation methods.

i think it's ridiculously unfair to blame the doctor for this. guys who've played at Yao's size have found their careers over in their early 30's...and none of those guys played the kind of minutes Yao did.

besides...no one ever called this injury an ankle sprain, to my knowledge. they said bone bruise initially...and what i'm reading/hearing and understand is that they believe the stress fracture actually occured during rehab of that injury. that's the way i understand it, anyway.

yeah it's not like they let Amar'e return too early only to have him go out again later for the same problem and have surgery....oh wait, they did!!

calm down....the injury isn't morphing itse;lf to different things...you can have a sprain AND a bruise and later get a fracture, which is what happened. they're not saying, " he has a sprain, oops no it's a bone bruise, oh wait, not it was a fracture all a long."

Fans need to stop getting so emotional and look at facts calmly and in a rational manner. The info is all there, but if you're upset you'll only see what you want or hope to see, not the truth.

i'm sure his age, learning from the prior and same exact rehab, lack of prior significant injuries, and a normal spine had nothing to do with it. It was just the Phoenix staff and their magical fingers.

His doctor was a hack. The surgery was not even required for his injury. It was elective. Rest could have healed the original injury 100% and there would have been no side effects.

Since we are playing the blame game, I want to blame Mao for not giving every Chinese kid enough milk. I blame Marx for inventing communism.

Do you not understand that this was the second time the same injury happened and that it would keep happening unless they tried this surgery?

I know Clanton, and I know that you don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about, on any level.

But keep on pulling make believe medical knowledge out of your rear end.

Unlike Walker, Yao doesn't have a gambling problem nor does he travel around with a huge entourage. That stuff can get expensive really quick.

I am not so sure about that, he played 75 games on that foot before it blew up and he played heavy minutes.

They might have just let it heal and limit his minutes.....they went for the homerun instead.

I think you are looking at this too hard. I believe that Yao was never really ready to come back and they sort of rolled the dice hoping nothing would happen. The fact that they basically stood still in the of season also tells me that they really have no plan B. So this now shapes up as (yet) another lost season. Now DM & Les get to justify all of the faith the Rocketsheep have placed in them. I will be most anxious to see what (if any) plan they come up with in the coming months.
