Freakin' awesome kick. Everybody was cheering when it happened. Can't wait to see Pettis fight the winner of Edgar/Maynard whom I think are both very boring fighters.

He's lucky he landed the kick. He was wide open for a counter.

henderson wouldn't have been able to get his feet in position quickly enough since he was backing away.

he should have ran into the kick and just thrown him down. that would be the correct counter to that stupid strategy

    Yeah okay...

I have been following the sport from the beginning and been training off and on for a long time...

That was the most impressive kick I have ever seen pulled off in the cage...

not sure if you watched the fight, but henderson was doing a lot of backing away when he couldn't find his range. he was doing it even more in the later rounds when it was clear pettis was the better of the 2 standing. pettis read his opponent well and knew henderson wouldn't be expecting some sort of crazy flying kick.

    Threadstarter is a liar.

Below is the "kick of the decade" in MMA:

I was thinking that too, and also why does the other guy drop his hands as the kick is coming in? Still looks awesome and stuff like that is high risk with high reward and usually you end up with the risk.
