Start Hill from now on, Play Patrick Patterson, immediately throw Twill in and see what we got. Sit Battier. Let Lowry play the point and shop Aaron Brooks and Kevin martin. Scoal still plays minuts but see if his BYC trade status can also be worked around for the right deal. If it takes a little more than you usually are willing to give away to get a special young talent here? Then do it anyways. Allow Patrick, Twill, and Hill to be potentially trusted more if you have to move a couple of veterans. Thats how you rebuild.

Morey will probably not make a trade for center for a while - he's smart - right after the news of Yao's injury was leaked it became a seller's market. Why gamble some talent for a short term solution. Probably the center position will be filled by free agency or a trade at February or in the summer (barring lockout).

You don't want to overpay for anyone until you get a legit franchise player, thats the problem we have now with martin, and scola there good but not good enough to build around.

Rebuild on the run! Demarcus Cousins, Terrence Williams, Kyle Lowry, Kevin Martin, and Jordan Hill.

I bet Scola could net us good talent.

The dumbest thing we can now do is to start reaching. We are more than a serviceable starting center away from contending.

We have 3 guys who can fill the center position: Hayes, Miller and Hill.

Would we like to improve? - Sure
Are we likely to get anything better that we have very quickly? - No

For example, I have a hard time believing the Kings would just hand us Cousins on a silver platter and if they do, there's something really wrong with him so it wouldn't do us much good. In other words, I beleive it will cost us much more than Brooks and I'm not sure if I want him that badly. "Winner's curse" and all that.

If the Kings have a fire sale of their other big men like Thompson or Landry then I guess we might have some interest but those moves would not be "addressing the C problem", they would be attempts to find value out of other teams surplus big men and alone pretty insignificant considering the bigger picture.

I think he's been doing it all along. This isn't exactly a center's league anymore and how many pf's does morey have on the squad? Who
    Are the "big name talents"
They've tried to acquire and are actively pursuing?

With this news nothing has changed. It's just officially out there now.

This ... Gasol (wants to be part of a 'better' team and bigger city) or Horford (contract extension problems with the Hawks)! Hibbert, McGee and Noah will not be traded. Biedrins isn't someone you built around ...

I would give a nut for Roy Hibbert, Javale McGee or Brook Lopez, but those guys aren't going ANYWHERE, imo.

Still, those are the only guys that would really "fix" our team. Crappy players like Chandler/Haywood/Dalembert will be band-aids...

I would also give a nut for Cousins, and to a smaller degree, I'd like to see us try and develop Thabeet, but he might be a huge bust.

    That's a great point.

I could see Marc Gasol in Rocket Red.

    Aaron Brooks
    Kevin Martin
    Terrence Williams
    Luis Scola
    Marc Gasol

    Might dominate the entire league...

I think Chris K-man is a viable option right now.The clippers have pretty much given up on him and he can be had at a ok price.

Gasol would be great, but I doubt the Griz give him up that easily.

Thabeet would be someone I`d like to look at personally, he`s 7`2. He hasn`t had a chance to prove himself in the league, why hasn`t he played anyway? Can`t get ahead of Gasol? or just sucks?

I've seen Pryzbilla and Chandler mentioned. For the love God, can we please try and look for a guy without an INJURY HISTORY?

Let's bring in Marcus Camby to replace Yao, We're going to need a great C who can block shots all day, and rebound. Marcus is our guy! Let's trade Jefferies contract to get him here.

you are probably head on with this......There is no immediate solution that will satisfy our issue. Any center out there at this time, no matter who you may think will fit, will not be a legit starter for us............IT IS WRITTEN.
