Mobley doesn't belong on the Rockets he is only a potential problem. You guys may not want to fess up but Mobley is jealous of Francis, always copying his moves. Mobley will be the same way up in Toronto except the veterans and Carter will not go for the ballhogging. Mobley is not going to the starting SG he will be playing the 1. I asure he will not be that creative at the point turnover prone, bad shot selection, ballhogging. We could use Mobley but it wouldn't be to much a loss.

Does anyone else feel like they've been stabbed in the back? Him leaving for more money more immediately is reasonable. The only thing that really pisses me off is how he handled the draft. If he is going to freakin leave, he should have let the rockets draft alexander. The way he handled that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It wasn't a very wise career desicion anyway. The Raptors are now one of the older teams in the league, and they have a slow style of play. We could have paid him more anyway! I just dont understand the logic behind his decision. We have a brigher future here than Toronto

KeepKenny, I feel the same way. As someone stated in another thread, an appropriate way to title Cuttino would be "Cuttino Pippen." I have no respect for him whatsoever now.

    WOW!!

Do we feel the same way about Shandon Anderson?

    How about Steve Francis?

Jeez, the guy wants to start, who can blame him for that?

As for the draft, if we would've taken a shooting guard, I'd been pissed anyway. We don't need a lottery pick backup. Plus, who knows for positive that Cat told them to not to take a shooting guard?

    No one.

I hope he tears his ACL or something like that in his first game as a Raptor. It's what he deserves.

I think wishing for a player to get a career ending injury is going a tad to far. No player deserves that not even Scottie Pippen.

I edited that because yeah, that was harsh on my part. But I do hope his career becomes a miserable failure, that he becomes a tremendous bust, and that Toronto falls to the NBA basement.

Like R95 said, the Rockets were not going to take a shooting guard. Players couldn't even talk to teams until July 1, so there was no way the Rockets or even Mobley knew that he might leave until at least that time. In case you didn't know, the draft was in June.

Also, remember the guy we signed last year, you know, the one who's playing for less for 3 years just so he can play in Houston? Anderson is going to be our starter for many years at that spot. So basically you have one guy in Anderson that is entrenched in your starting lineup, and another guy in Mobley at the same spot who you were pretty sure was going to re-sign. There was no way Alexander would've been chosen, so quit using that excuse to bash Mobley.

You guys are sitting here cursing a man with great talent .I dont believe Cuttino Mobley will be a superstar . On August first we will be saying "Screw Him He sucks" or "Good for Him He Rules" its up to him to make that decision and in his mind i think he is already packing for Toronto

I'm still trying to find the quote, but either Rudy T or CD said specifically they didn't select a SG in the draft to show loaylty towards Cuttino. The Rockets not drafting someone playing the same position as Mobley was a pre-requisite put forth by Mobley's agent in order for them to negotiate with the Rockets first. Not to stay with the Rockets, just to talk with them first.

ARRRGGG... gotta find these quotes. Bill the Rocketguy's site mentions it, but I'm specifically looking for the quote out of Rudy/CD's mouth. The Chronicle carried the article, I think.

Here's a Fran Blinebury article that mentions, like many of you have said, Rudy had no intentions of selecting a 2 in the draft because he "loved the guy [he] already [has]".

Of course, that could've meant, Shandon, too. [IMG]
