I loved getting T Williams for a low first rounder, but now that Yao is done, the Rockets have a glaring hole at C.

We know that the Rockets and Kings front offices talk and that SAC likes Brooks. Surely a package of Brooks, Scola, Budinger +filler for Cousins + filler would be something the Kings would do (it's likely it would cost even less).

Even something as punitive as the above leaves the Rockets with a very exciting young core that is balanced and has a ton of upside:

    C Cousins, Miller
    PF Hill, Hayes, Patterson
    SF Williams, Battier
    SG Martin, Lee
PG Lowry, Ish (probably Udrih as well as part of the deal above)

the team loses some depth clearly but is much better defensively and is crazy athletic. They wouldn't make the playoffs this year but the young group would get a lot of quality PT, and then they'd have a lottery pick to add in the offseason, and Morey has always been good at acquiring / buying depth.

Scola is as good as he's going to be and the team has good depth at PF (the Kings could probably also be convinced to send Landry back in this type of deal). Brooks and Budinger are the ultimate one-dimensional PG and SF, and we've seen what happens when too many of those guys are on the floor at once. The new team with Williams, Lee and Lowry would be able to cover up the defensive deficiencies of Martin.

    Thank me later Daryl!

I agree, I would let the Kings pick who ever they want from our roster for Demarcus Cousins.

That team is certainly better then the team we got now. While your at it trade Martin too no point in keeping him now that Yao is gone. It ain't like he's going to lead you some where unless it's the lottery see Sacramento.

Unless he chokes out his coach, he probably isn't going anywhere. Franchise centers don't grow on trees as we've seen.

Will be waiting for the trade deadline to see in which direction if any Morey goes. I don't see the franchise making a knee jerk reaction with the Yao situation.

One guy with questionable attitude is manageable and fun, two is NOT. Cousins + T-Will + may be bad for Hill ...

Change in Team Outlook: -33.3 ppg, -7.3 rpg, and -7.8 apg.

Great idea, 'cause it'll get us the #1 draft pick next year.

SAC doesn't want anything we have for Cousins. Cousins is coming around and will be a beast. Unless he goes off the deep end and starts killing coaches he is a King for a long time. Now if we want Landry, they will take Brooks. But that is stupid. Landry wants to come to Houston and we can have him for free. But Brooks and our lottery protected 1st won't bring in Cousins. Even the stupidests GM's get that centers build championships and stars bring in fans.

LOL! Not sure I've seen such a differential.
