It's the same reason why Kwame was shopped around for many seasons. Teams will take that chance, the big 'potential' is a great thing to have as a player.

Obviously after years of playing teams realize well...Kwame Brown just isn't that good...maybe that's the case with Williams, at this point in his career though with his possible skillset he could turn into a very good player.

Also I don't see how Morey was ever on the hotseat, just a couple seasons ago he assembled a legit contender. Not his fault by the end of that season Yao and Tmac were watching Artest try to lead his team to defeat the Lakers.

I some what agree. Our core would be Scola/Martin/Brooks and you can't really build around that and expect to compete. So if they blow it up might as well trade away some value for potential imo. You have to replace the core with prospects and let them grow kinda like what Portland and Oklahoma have done with Roy/Oden - etc.. and Durant/Westbrook etc... By the time it's time to start competing again Scola will be in his last year and Martin/Brooks in their 30's that ain't the way to go imo.

What I really really like about this trade is the lack of quality human/basketball IQ is really mentioned in the pick-up.

What? I'm not being sarcastic. I still have a lot of respect and faith in Morey but this team is too full of good character and smarts and too low on crazy athleticism and instinct.

It was actually the character and IQ that had me so high on the season but the reality is we need someone who can play a little Mr. Hyde when the rest of the team in stuck in Dr. Jeckyll.

    I like the change.

I also believe that culture counts. It helped Rafer Alston shape up a bit and I think helped Ron Ron to mature a little. If Terrence Williams is as crazy athletic as everyone says he is, and if he really does realize he's dangerously close to being a "coulda been", then our culture might unlock a very valuable piece.

If this guy gets his act together do those of you in the know think he will he be?

Haaha this is so funny. That's what it's all about. So by the deadline we might get Randolph who has a 18.7 per right now. Did i get this correct they traded the 2012 pick and not the 2011 swap?

LOL at TWill's Xmas present per Clutch's twitter,

but more interestingly, TWill considers himself a 1? Do any of ya'll think he will get any minutes at the PG spot?

I think so. He's very good at it. I also think he will be starting by the end of the season.

I can't believe that our veteran leadership won't lead Williams to exploit his talent. If we don't trade them away, at any rate. Something's going to go down. It just feels like it.

Go to the 8 minute mark. That's what's going down.
