I can't bench Foster... he's been so consistent all year. McFadden and Peterson are different stories. McFadden absolutely thrashed Denver last time they played, Chicago's defense is pretty stout... and if they end up playing at UM that will be outdoor conditions. Maybe I'll shoot myself in the face after Peterson goes off, but for now I'm comfortable with the decision.
Non PPR league: QB Choices: Rodgers @ NE (questionable - concussion), Garrard @ IND, Collins vs. Texans Flex Choices: Jennings @ NE, Goodson v Arizona, Britt v Texans I'm leaning towards Collins and Britt here. Even if Rodgers plays, he's one hard hit from being out again. New England is not giving up much of anything as of late. I like Garrard (he put up huge numbers against IND at home), but playing @ IND is tougher and it's a huge game that will likely involve Jax shortening the game by running all day. I feel like I'm trying to get too cute though with Collins and Britt. I'm going against a superior squad that features Peyton Manning and Arian Foster, so I have very little room for error.
btw, changed my answer. I think Andre and Lloyd still the Charles tied to Cassel thing for the flex, else Blount
Even if Cassel plays, Charles should see a lot of touches. Once he has the ball in his hands, he doesn't need Cassel, and getting the ball into his hands is alot easier than someone like Bowe or Moeaki.
Have to pick one... Vince Jackson vs SF Brandon Lloyd @ Oak I'm not trusting Lloyd lately. Orton has been very bad and they're just playing out the balance. Jackson has impressed the team with his work since coming back and they could be looking to him tonight.
i agree. but it's possible that they load up on the run without cassel, so i think blount is the safer play since he's a good back also with a good matchup. If Cassel plays, things should be pretty open for Charles to make him the better play
Crunch time: win and I'm in the FF playoffs, lose and I'm probably out. Pick 5 with a 3 RB max. The guys I'm leaning towards are in green. I'm clueless on a 5th starter. Greg Jennings @NE Jamaal Charles @STL Darren McFadden DEN Roddy White @SEA LeGarrette Blount DET Christopher Ivory @BAL Mike Wallace NYJ Thomas Jones @STL Vincent Jackson SF I'm definitely picking Jackson this week since Jennings is a total bust w/o Aaron Rogers. I hate Thursday night games for fantasy. I'm really iffy on Charles b/c of Matt Cassel's status. Also what's up with Mike Wallace? Help?
I picked up Joe Webb in my Yahoo leagues. Webb has QB/WR eligibility and has a strong chance to start this week for the Vikings. Worth a speculative pickup.
DMC White Jennings if Rodgers, else V Jackson Charles if Cassel, else Jennings (if above was V Jackson), else V Jackson Blount
DonnyMost: my team does suck and I am going against the best team player wise this week in the playoffs I need a HR only way I'll win Picked him up too my other flex options would be Westbrook tonight vs SD and I dont have a good feeling about him against that defense esp since Dixon been getting more carries as a RB or Goodson against AZ and with Stewart in the backfield now Goodson may just be getting few snaps he did well last week because of his TD run but if you take that away it was a pretty ho hum day for him as JS got 3/4 of the carries. Webb I may not play him still may change my mind come sat night but right now who knows he certainly wont hurt me unless Westbrook and/or Goodson goes off and he doesnt. I am not expecting too much out of him against that Bears Defense but who knows what will happen
1. Is V. Jackson worth starting? 2. Joe Webb (QB/WR) - is it cool to play him at WR? He might be the Vikings starting QB. Yahoo allows it but will the throwing stats convert? They should right? LT throws a TD he gets pts right?
Oh man, I'm in a tough situation. I have Arian Foster starting for sure. Who would you use as RB2??? Steven Jackson vs Chiefs or Darren McFadden vs Broncos ?
Lot of people are high on him for sure and I think Floyd is injured as well so might be a good time to start him with Gates out as well. They don't have much on the receiving core that's for sure.
Hell yes and yes. I'll be starting both. 1) V. Jackson is going to pop off tonight. I just have a gut feeling. 100+ yards and 2 tds. 2) Webb if he starts I'm hoping for at least 10 points. That's totally doable I think even if it was based on reps.
The problem is V Jackson plays tonight and Jennings plays Sunday night. We won't know anything about Rodgers' status until probably game time. Did I already say that I hate Thurs night games for fantasy?!
