    Yeah, whatever.....lol.....

Nothing like watching a game here and there to make someone think they know something.

I don't disagree with this but you also need a good consistent offense with out so many dry spells.

I'm not suggesting you should build for one and not the other...

but offense isn't my concern with the way the team is currently built. It's probably the very least of my concerns.

Not disagreeing with you that history (with 20/20 vision) will show TMac as one of the biggest NBA disappointments. But, when he was playing for Toronto, Orlando, and Houston and winning scoring titles with nasty dunks, no doubt he was treated and paid like a superstar.

It should be a concern, because the scoring droughts are killing this team.

Of course, they could try to FORCE a scoring drought onto the other team too, but that doesn't seem to be the case, even with 3 defensively oriented players in the starting lineup:

    Lowry, Shane, Hayes.....

We need a big at the rim, something fierce.

Im sorry, but this is just plain stupid. When T-Mac played here he played like a freakin superstar. In the playoffs he elevated his game, like superstars do. Though he never got past the first round, he still played at in incredible.

BTW basketball is a team sport...

A team sport, huh, yet he...elevated HIS game....obviously not the TEAMS game, but his game.

Of course, it is a team sport after all.

I have to be honest...what is the freakin plan here?

All we do is trade for players who are what? And picks? Now, pray Carmelo doesn't go to NY so our pick is higher? And this and that?

What the hell is the plan, really? It just looks like we are getting players for no particular rhyme or reason. We just manuever laterally for what purpose? Can I get someone to help me see the light because its freakin dark from where I am standing.

This team doesn't play defense, they are streaky as all hell...and this makes Morey a genius? He has practically dismantled a championship caliber squad in 2 years.

Maybe he is a genius. Geniuses always don't make sense to dummies like me.

I hope so. But I don't see it.

100% behind my thread about "trading for a superstar a strategy".....

Right now the strategy seems to be get as many decent players as you can, stockpile them, and dump them on Adelman to figure out the chemistry issues, then hope a superstar shakes loose.

Oh, one more thing though, it seems they are getting young players who have talent but have issues in hopes that they unearth a hidden gem - sort of in the Dale Ellis, Drazen Petrovic or Jermaine O'neal vein.

Do we really need a reason to increase the total team talent?

    Come on DD,

Take it easy on the Tmac fans, they don't know anything about NBA Basketball... or spelling, or math or geography or biology or PE

We are rebuilding. Its obvious. Instead of declaring it, we are just stock piling potential players who may develop. None of these moves are "Win Now" mode. Complete opposite of Celtics/Lakers.

We are tanking the next five years, obv.

T-Will, the top-10 talent, for a ballhogging JT and a second round pick in 2018 is a pretty sweet value deal.

I'll go on record now as loving this trade. Giving up a lottery protected pick for a true point forward with size, defense and athleticism. This guy has an assortment of skills that NOBODY on our team has. Is there a chance this fails? Yes, but I think the risk is worth the potential reward. I can't wait to see what he can do if he is able to pick up Adelman's offense. This guy has the potential to get you a triple double every now and then because he fills up the stat sheet and I don't think there is another player on this team I would say that about.

my thoughts exactly. it's not constructing a team...it's compiling assets for a trade we HOPE happens one day in a league where the best players pretty much choose where they'll be traded to.

To say T-Mac wasn't a great player is short-sighted and not very intelligent. I shouldn't expect anything from someone that is stuck in the past, but it's absolutely crazy how blind some of the older posters on this forum are.

I'm not trying to debate that T-Mac was better than Hakeem. Just because I think watching a 6'8 SG create mismatches all over the court and constantly dunking on people was awesome, doesn't mean I'm a so called "TOF"... In fact I'm not really a fan of any one player in general, just the game of basketball. But of course since I think watching one of the most naturally talented(not best, naturally talented) players to ever step on the floor, I'm not very smart? What kind of logic was used in constructing that frame of mind?

This has nothing to do with age. no, us old people aren't blind either,

we saw Kobe, LeBron, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Dwayne Wade, Shaq, and the list goes on and on of other players who were GREATER.
