    BS !

The ref is taught to turn away to avoid any escalation, you don't have half a clue.....

The kid reacted to the other young man D'ing him up the full 94.....instead, he got angry shoved the guy, got a "T" for it....(as he should) and then went all thug life on him.

Great, now he gets to enjoy the fact that his last meaningful game ended with him being a dumb ass.

If you were ever an athlete you would know better........Trolls are rarely athletes....

I always thought that if you had to run around telling people you were an athlete, you probably weren't....or if you were, you weren't very good.

Kid was in the wrong, no matter what the ref said or did. The ref is in a position of authority, and one of the first things a kid is taught in athletics is to respect people of authority.

Not really sure that applies to anonymous message boards. Just an observation.

IDK, the argument about "if you ever played sports..." or "you probably didn't play..." or "anyone who has ever played knows...." usually smacks of a wanna-be. Just sayin'.

It's kinda like the guy who runs around declaring himself a black belt in jiu-jitsu. While it may be true, I've always figured it probably isn't.

I saw a guy at a party once telling girls he was a Navy Seal....until one of the girls brought over her boyfriend who really was one. Watching the guy back pedal was awesome.

I don't know what is more sad. What he did or the fact that espn gave him an interview.

Still, this kid is an idiot. Deserves to be banned from high school basketball.

Remind us all who gave you the right to assault someone for doing their job at a basketball game?!? We're dying to know how you think this is correct and civilized behavior.

I was waiting for somebody to go there.

How do you know anything about this neighborhood?

Its not a question of race, its a question of intelligence. If the thought it wasn't a big deal people wouldn't have rushed down to take the player off of the court.

One man's actions don't speak for 1 billion people

The skinny tall punk probably was half the weight of the ref. Ref probably afraid to be sued if he fought back.

No no no. Being a ref is like any other job. How many people do their job to the best of their ability? Most highschool refs just want to get by, haha...
