It's good to see some evidence supporting the argument that Westbrook has become the MVP in Oklahoma. People see Durant's high PPG and think that he's still the best Thunder, but so far this year, you have to give that honor to Westbrook. Dude is a beast out on the court.

We all know that a statistic can all only consider so many conditions at once hence, there are many different player stats. But, what I find funny is that Aaron in higher than kyle. He only played five games and I really don't think he's played well in any of them. This one suprised me. All the others, eh, it's hard to associate players like chuck and battier with a stat (except maybe FT% for chuck lol). Then there are players like lebron and cp3 who do everything with the numbers well and the little stuff that can't be measured. whoever can make a stat with everything considered would be a genius
what's the difference between a "star" and a "superstar"??? My guess was stars are those who have been part of an allstar game while superstars are those who are olympic gold medalists. Can someone please enlighten me.......cite examples please!
Has anyone noticed that Brad Miller is the only Top 50 PER player with fewer than 20 minutes per game? And with those minutes, his PER is over 20.00? Crazy, that.
This makes me want to get Tyrus Thomas even more. A shotblocker with good FG%. His +/- numbers are good too. He's probably gettable, but does he improve our team?
no i was asking since PER is supposedly oh the most dependable measure here on clutchfans to see who the best players are does the top 10 from that link reflect the top 10 players in the league right now and the order in they're ranked
I've always thought that a star player was a guy who was an all-star level player. A superstar player is someone that even non-NBA fans have heard of. Everyone knows the names Lebron, Kobe, Shaq. Those guys are superstars.
IF someone says that any particular stat is a dependable and precise measure of who the best players are, such that you could take the top 10 and be confident in the ordering, they don't know what they are talking about. PER is a decent starting point to quickly gauge a player's productivity. Its not a be-all, end-all analysis, and you can even quote Hollinger on that.
