I call BS on Flip and I really don't like the way he's talking about Wall. Dude's just a kid and Flip is saying things like, "It's really tough on our team. We need our horse." Tough on the TEAM? What about Wall? I mean geez, obviously if Wall could play he would. I think Flip has no freaking clue if Wall will never be pain free and is just running his mouth because he wants Wall to play through the pain.

That guy needs to be fired, before he destroys Wall's career.

Wall and Griffin should save their careers while they still came and demand a trade to Houston.

Damn right! What's been said thus far in this thread is spot on. I'm dealing with patella tendinitis in my left knee. Even though I love playing the game, I'd rather rest my knee rather than risk a serious injury to the patella tendon.

I'm sure they know it, but if John Wall is dealing with tendinitis in his knee, he needs to rest the knee, wear a brace when he uses his knee, ice it after any strain, and perhaps take anti-inflammatory medication until the tendon is healed.

Yes, Houston is the best destination for a young injury-prone star player.

Tendonitis is a part of the NBA and always will be. Wall isn't at risk.

At the same time, I don't think Flip Saunders is a good coach. I figured he'd last 2-3 years in Washington before they canned him.

Are you saying you wouldn't want Wall and/or Griffin on the team?

He's won with teams that turned to utter crap after he left. How isn't he a good coach?

He did OK in Minny. They had the one run to the WCFs. He was fired the next year after they didn't do very well (I know about the Cassell & Sprewell problems). McHale actually did a decent job after taking over.

In Detroit, he did OK with a talented team, but didn't get the most out of them. They fell apart after he left because his successor had no business being a head coach, but I doubt Saunders would have done a whole lot better.

Flip strikes me as a retread who's lost his touch with NBA players. I definitely wouldn't want him coaching my favorite team.

No, I would love to have either player on the team. I'm saying that coming to Houston probably isn't what most young players think will save their careers from injuries, given our recent history.
