[Lip Dub] Kind of a cool video by local high school...

    I guess this "Lip Dub" thing is all the rage nowadays. Here's a kind of cool one that is from a local high school (which just so happens to be where I grew up). We were never allowed to do cool things like that when I was in high school. Must be good for student morale...

    the 4 green men at the end were a nice touch. lol. however- the original ones were better executed.

    Im sure the camera guy was winded because the camera kept lowering when it should have been higher. Good stuff though, this would have never happened in my HS.

    question about copyrights. why is this allowed on youtube but if i make a slideshow using the same song, the audio is muted?

    I don't get it at all. It's like "we can't sing, so we'll lip sync to something". Didn't Milli Vanilli get busted for this? They were just ahead of their times... :(

    From the looks of it, none of these kids knew the lyrics to the song. They were lip syncing words to a whole different song.

    It's just a fun little video. Probably a lot more fun to make that it is to watch. It's an easy way to introduce or remember a larger group of people, and there's a lot of room for inside jokes and stuff.

    It's kind of like a yearbook in video form. Fun for the those who are in it, basically useless to those who aren't.

    I don't think the students are trying to deceive and make money off anyone.
    My daughter's HS just put aside a day for fun activities and doing a lip dub. The kids enjoyed it.
