My personal computer at home is jacked up. Starting last night when I got home, the font size on all internet sites I visit is like 8 now instead of 12. How do I fix this and get it back to the right setting?
Hold down the CTRL key and scroll up/down with your mouse wheel to adjust the font size in your browser.
I work with computers all the time but there are some things that I have no clue about, especially stuff like the F1 through F12 keys. Thanks BetterThanI - I'll try that when I get home today.
If it's just the internet, look at the % size of the page, for example on IE it's at the bottom right hand side. I've done that before and accidentially jacked up the %, setting it to 125 or 150
You gotta tell us at least what program you're using. The "Internet" is a network of computers. You use a program called a browser to view pages on Internet sites. All Windows PCs will have Internet Explorer as a browser, but it could be others like Firefox or Google Chrome. The text changed probably from holding the Ctrl key and scrolling on the mouse or just inadvertently pressing a setting. What browser are you using? Throw us a frickin' bone here... In Internet Explorer, bring up the main menu by pressing ALT. Click "View" to bring down the menu. There is a section with alternate views for TEXT or for Zoom. The default settings (before they changed) are "Text -> Medium" and "Zoom -> 100%." In FireFox, there is only a "Zoom" setting, but nothing specific for text. Try the "Reset" setting there.
If you are using Internet Explorer, go to the "View" tab and see what your text size is set to. If it's not medium, set it to that.
